On McLean and Talagi it was always going to take time.both came into first grade way to early but there development is coming on well and will continue on a upward scale for years driven there age
let’s hope Liam Martin was watching the game if he picks up his incilment in the game up even a few early hit ups from time to time just to ease the load on a few other forwards we will continue to climb the ladder

Probably the most inspiring performance of the year and still, IMHO, unwarranted criticism of backup players.

We don't have, Cleary, Yeo, Edwards, Martin or To'o clones, and by the way, we never have, BUT, we do play the hand we've been dealt pretty well.

No other side has the opponent come with semi finals intensity week after week treating the Panthers game like a season defining game.

The competition has evened out this year, and yes, finally at the detriment of Penrith, so the haters can hate that little bit more. But they don't seem to mind the Penrith trained and bred players running around in their colours.

Support what we have and enjoy the ride however it ends, but I'm certain, the rest are now looking over their shoulders at what is coming.

The fact some people are still complaining about tago is a bit sad.

Ive read from yesterday that he should be benched for alamonti.
He isnt a good support player amd wasnt there backing up.

I thought it was his best game of the season. Wingers amd fullbacks get the cheap meters of thw kick returns... tago had a lot of hard carries ended up a few meters of top meters, most post contact meters by a fair way.

He was solid in defemce amd if BS had passed right to tago he scores.

It was the best amd most aggressive ive seen him play in a long while. We needed a half to get him early ball one on one but unfortunately brad is not the best.

Anyway if he can continue this improvement ill be confident for the rest of the year.

They seem intent on using him for cradh plays back underneath into the props 2nd rowers.

No idea why. Hes so hard to tackle one on one they just need to get him good early ball
Exactly - give him clean early ball and get him man on with his opposite or an edge and he will beat them most of the time. Same with Casey - very hard to tackle 1 on 1, he has sublime footwork.

I still think no one at the club including Tago has realised he's strong and fast. They never play to him as a genuine centre attacking play however you'd word that.

Nathan not being a particularly good ball player is one big issue. It's amazing what he's achieved with so little natural feel for the sport.

Hard to argue when he will always pass to Martin/Edwards as if it's been trained into him. Don't see him throw a cut out to tago much.

A shout out to Ivan Cleary.

Gameplan was good. We went from dummyhalf more early in the match particularly through the backs.

Just to exemplify this point:

2025 dummy-half runs average: 6.5 (We are 13th in the competition).

We went from dummy-half 13 times yesterday. 7 of those alone came from Tago.

I'd be curious to know if this was a specific plan just for the Warriors. Or moreso a reaction to our horrible game against the Knights. It's not just the yards you make from dummy-half it's the burden of the carries. Give the forwards as much of a rest as possible so they can focus on defence which is where we failed against the Knights.

We also didn't have To'o and he is like having 3 bulldozers as 1. Maybe it was a plan to pick up the slack.
