Anyone been to Parra stadium before? Might be in Sydney this weekend. Can you train it from the city?

Yeah, nice and easy from the city to get out there. Trains every 15 min or so. There should be shuttle buses from the station to take you out to the ground (was a year or two ago anyway). You can also walk from the station too. About a 20-30 min walk. Don't know if I would myself but...

yeah u can pretty much everything going west stops at parra. there is a free shuttle bus run by council dunno if they do xtra.

u can walk two ways - northern exit off train station and walk past the most shit riddled hungry jacks in the world and the 'lovely' church st mall (features regularly on the beau knows series) keep walking up church st till ya hit the maccas and turn left

or leave via southern exit of train station (westfield side) keep following the train line and pass all the buses and cross over a couple of streets then right into o'connell and then walk till stadium.

20 min walk tops

Awesome news that Tets has been named again, hopefully he gets more than 7 minutes against the eels.

When he was on against the Tigers he looked like a man posessed.

NRL Late Mail thinks that it's quite possible that Tetevano will drop off the extended bench despite being named in the 14 jersey :(. I guess the reasoning is Bedsy not playing 80 minutes every week.

Yeah disappointing not knowing why Tets hasn't solidified a spot. He's never put a foot wrong in FG.

Team not named yet but I'm keen to see who will replace Boyd. Pete and Kev would both be lucky to get a look in on their last performance, and I think Bennett would be very reluctant to give Wes or Sau a shot while he's trying to offload them.

Hopefully Mantellato gets a go just so we can see what he's capable of.

Fox Sports showed the Knights v Tigers NSW Cup game this week, which was a great chance to look at some of the players I don't know much about, including Mantellato.

I thought he played well at fullback (with Pete at five-eighth) - nothing spectacular but he comes across as a smart player which is huge under NRL pressure.

In terms of running style, speed etc I'd liken him a bit to Colin Best, and perhaps a bit of Luke Burt's nous. Wouldn't see him playing fullback in first grade just because these days you really need a strike weapon there, but I could easily see him playing wing after an injury or two next year.

He is an absolute giant of a man and has a great leap to go with it, so would instantly become an incredible target for our bombs as well as be an automatic no-go zone for the opposition. The try he scored chasing a Davis bomb was incredible - never looked like the kick would amount to anything then he just flew through the air and snatched it whilst almost horizontal to the ground. Even in the AFL they would have been going nuts over this mark.

Davis was very good at halfback again. I don't know how he would go in first grade, but he certainly appears to be more of a natural halfback than anyone else in our squad.

Daine Laurie made one massive hit-up that got everyone excited, then did nothing.

O'Donnell's runs were strong, but his defence in the middle was woeful and pretty clearly the reason he hasn't made the step up.

Likiliki - wow. With the football this guy is immense. He strolled through their defensive line twice when we didn't even have any momentum. He took a dummy half run and beat a wall of men who were not retreating so easily, got to the fullback and stopped in front of him, then just took off again and beat him for pace. It's scary how good he is, just a shame he looks so confused in defence all the time.

Will Bennett ever give the kid a proper run?

All the late mail I've read has been leaning towards Adams and Naiqama dropping off the bench, which is what I hope happens.

In the last NSW Cup game Adams started the game at hooker then shifted to the role of a running backrower when Mitch Williams came on to play dummy half.

Anyone noticed this approach with Adams in previous matches?

I wonder if it's Bennett having a look at what else he can do, with a mind to giving him a more permanent bench role next season with Bedsy another year older.

It seemed a waste having Adams in first grade for a 10-minute stint, but if he was spending 20 minutes replacing Danny and could fill in elsewhere in the forwards to cover injury/fatigue, I suppose there could be merit in it.

For the record he did quite well I thought - ran very straight and hard and was easily making more metres and impact than Hilder's hit-ups.

Interesting selection. Seemed like a genuine 50-50 call between Naiqama and Mata'utia, but the one who got the nod is the one without a contract next season.

Personally I think Kev has the makings of a better fullback, but in first grade he's never really looked anything but mediocre.

Hope he has a big game - smart fullback play was how we won last week, so Kev needs to fit in well with our attacking structure or it might be one step forward, two steps back.

Just good to see the forwards working together. Realky think we can put a score on tonight. The left side attack looks ready to rumble. Sandow looks up for it though.

Two BS penalties that were nowhere near penalties and then Parra score. Good work to the pink clad androtops!
