Here we go. It's finally the best time of the week yet again. That's right Game Day!! We take on the Cowboys tonight at MacDonald Jones Stadium, a home away from home. Under normal circumstances, you wouldn't look at a game like this as a significant game, however, this week it certainly is. We're going to be without five of our best due to Origin which massively evens the playing field. If we can jag a win, it means we'll stay in third which is certainly what we want. But I feel like we're really going to be tested if we want the two points in this one.

North Queensland have been a bit down on form lately and certainly haven't been playing their best Footy. However, there was a period there a few weeks back where they had it all together and were looking pretty strong actually. No doubt they'll turn up tonight looking to recapture that form. They'll be desperate to as this is nearly a must win for them. Therefore, I expect to face a quite fired up side in this one. The Cowboys will smell blood in the water and will be coming for us.

For our team, tonight is all about attitude and mentality. If the boys go into this one thinking about who we're missing then we may get our pants pulled down. It's all about that 'next man up' mentality. The guys that are coming in are still quality players so I hope we have a 'business as usual' attitude to this game and come out just as fired up as always. In saying that, as I have said, this contest could be quite even so I don't want to see the boys take the Cowboys lightly. As everyone knows, we really let ourselves down defensively last week so that should be a big focus to improve tonight and if we can hold that ball in potentially wet conditions, it's going to go a long way to getting a result.

Really looking forward to tonight! Kick off can't come soon enough!

I don't believe there is a reason not to win. They're missing Holmes who is key to their attack and the rest of the team isn't as good as Souths. If we were to combine the two teams, only Taumalolo (13), Feldt (5), maybe Hess (12) or Drinkwater (1) make the Souths team IMO.

The players away on rep duty isn't an excuse to lose.

Well it’s that time of week again Game Day is here. A shame those of us in Sydney can’t get to go out to Homebush as usual but it is what is. At least we can watch and cheer loudly and proudly from home. We also have a good amount of support up Newcastle and the Hunter way so it gives those members and fans an opportunity to see the boys play up in Newcastle tonight. So will be great the boys will have some support in the stands.

Now as we know we are without our origin guys tonight and Tatola still is our injured. It won’t be easy but I believe we have the depth there to get the win still. Su’a will be keen to show he’s went away and been working hard on things as he looks to get a spot back in our best 17. Mago will be ready to go and put his best foot forward. And we get to see young guns Ta’affe and Mamouzelos in action who will want big games. It is looking like a wet night up there so doing the basics right and completing will go a long way to winning as will getting our line speed and kick chase on song and limiting their offloads. The biggest thing the boys should he focussing on is our defence and first up contact.

I know the Cows have struggled of late but they’re on the fringe of the 8 so will be desperate. They still have good quality in their team that we need to be aware of.

Ok as we look down the tunnel here at McDonald Jones Stadium we can see the boys from Townsville making their way down the tunnel......... Rabbitohs members and Rabbitohs supporters please give a warm South Sydney Welcome to the North Qld Cowboys!!!

Given the growing number of infectious cases in the community and unlinked cases of community transmission, COVID-19 restrictions have been tightened across Greater Sydney including the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour.

Our home game tonight in Newcastle gives Bunnies fans and Burrow members who live out of Sydney the opportunity to support our boys.

We know all our members will follow restrictions and stay at home. We understand not attending matches sucks but let’s do what’s right and cheer them from the couch.

I hope to see many victory selfies from our Sydney members tonight 😂👏❤️💚🐇

I dont know how good taafe's kicking game is but if he has a good one we've got ourselves an awesome modern game half. Vlandys ball really suits running halves. I also like we're going right more.
