Seriously the ladder is so deceiving
We have won 5 games, one one game ahead of the titans who are last
We have had our 3 bys
We are definitely fighting to stay away from the spoon
Nothing has changed and we are worse off than last year
It is deceiving VodkaSaint and it will be a close call for the wooden spoon if we don't win games starting this Saturday against the Eels. We have a tough run home in the last 11 games - hope we can win say 5 of them at least.

I hear you mate, and I've been around this Club long enough to know it aint all about winning.

In the 90's we never won a title. Yet we were part of 4 grand finals. 92,93,96,99.

3 of those as stand alone Saints, 2 against a whole state state side BNE.

We meant something. I will treasure all those GF's and rides along the way. It's not the silverware, it's the journey.

Anyways, Im sure 90% of those in my age bracket, get it. Old bastard getting grumpy on internet is nothing new.. :D :D :D
Well said TruSaint. Life is all about the journey and the Dragons are part of that journey for many.
Unfortunately the current part of the Dragons journey is like the old family car holidays where we are now up to the third straight hour of “Eye Spy” - everyone’s had enough.
But somewhere just down the road Dad pulls into a great cafe and we have a great feed with smiles all around and the last three hours of the car trip fade into nothing.
It sucks at the moment but it’s great to see the die hards on this forum still able to have a chat and a laugh whilst we wait for better times.
I tip my hat to everyone’s resilience.

I also thought Brown was out too.
Although they’ve an improved they only beat the Titans at home.
They've improved a lot since last time we played them, thank goodness Moses won't be playing.

They spread the ball from their own end, have some big forwards who will offload late to Iongi who comes screaming through and doesn't just wait out the back for some second phase. They've got two prolific try scorers on each wing and one being Lomax who will make a mockery of us if we're not going to defuse kicks.
Dylan Walker plays the link forward role really well and will have front rowers running with gusto off his short passes.
Rylesy and Brownie have the team attacking very well and for me it's reminiscent of some of the great attack our dragons teams would put together during the Nathan Brown years.
At the very least their attack is much more enterprising than our Flanno Ball style, the only time our attack looks good is when we throw the coach's game plan away and get some second phase going with players pushing up around the ball.

Massive Danger game but I still expect us to win and win well, anything less than that is a fail.

Just me I'm not feeling a win here , hope I'm wrong , and we do blow them away ..........

There is only one team who is more or equally unreliable and that's the Titans.
We could easily be fighting out the wooden spoon with the Titans Jeff.

Just imagine if we did end up with the spoon. How would that look in our Trophy cabinet?

Heads will definitely be rolling from top to bottom in the Establishment and there would be a lot of embarrassed people who would eventually be given the big karate chop.

Gutho & Sele spoke to the press after training today.

Gutho was backing Kyle. Sele was backing Ilias (particularly his form in NSW Cup and his part in the team having maintained great form this season).

Could it be King-Togia making way?

Whilst this would be disappointing (the young fella has done nothing wrong), Kyle certainly can't play another game with the seven on his back. Ilias needs a recall purely for his long kicking game and defence alone.
