I dont think it matters which halves combination they go for, it's shuffling deck chairs... but any headline with Kyle or Ilias is guaranteed clickbait for the media outlets.

I'm more interested in the forwards, and would love to see Nick/Sua in the 2nd row, with Luch on the bench.. Sele seems like hes back in favour also as a bench option... not full fitness, but enough to offer more than Lawrie or Tonga I would say.

I think Gutherson needs to be moved to the 6, where his lack of speed may not be as detrimental. I can see Lomax getting a couple over guth this week, and a couple of the Eels fas guys running around him

Well said TruSaint. Life is all about the journey and the Dragons are part of that journey for many.
Unfortunately the current part of the Dragons journey is like the old family car holidays where we are now up to the third straight hour of “Eye Spy” - everyone’s had enough.
But somewhere just down the road Dad pulls into a great cafe and we have a great feed with smiles all around and the last three hours of the car trip fade into nothing.
It sucks at the moment but it’s great to see the die hards on this forum still able to have a chat and a laugh whilst we wait for better times.
I tip my hat to everyone’s resilience.
Beautiful words. Took me back. 😃

We should win this game and win well, but as already said it will be a meaningless win and does nothing to subside any pressure on the inept coach and his even worse son.
I'm not so sure about that. Parra move the ball around really well. And Dean Hawkins has been excellent in replacing Moses this year. We might struggle with the speed of their ball movement. See Dolphins game as a reference, but I hope you're on the money.

Yes, I agree re their ball movement and made a similar post yesterday as to how their attack is much better than ours.

However they are inconsistent and defensively can be exposed when put under pressure which is why they sit 15th on the ladder currently.

As we know they're missing a few key players in Moses and Riley Smith, no excuses for us not turning up at home and winning this game comfortably.

Even if you do win this we have to win at least 3 in a row to get somewhere back on track ....... Hasn't happened for a long time .......
Yes, it's a big game in the context of bottom four for us, if the Eels cause an upset, I can see it may stir them on to push for a finish closer to 8th spot, can't say the same for us though if we win.

In relation to the halves, I agree that half back is a problem for us because that is the most demanding position on the field and none of Ilias, Glover or KF have shown all of the game management skills (running, passing, kicking, direction of play etc) that a Cleary, Katoa or Moses possesses. Having said that however, LKT played the best game I've seen from a Dragons NRL half this season against the Sharks and changed my mind about him. Assuming he can sustain this form, he is my No 6 for the time being at least.

I don’t mind the size of the wings for this game. Not the quickest sure, but we need them to take it up early in tackle counts and provide the added support needed due to our lack of forward impact. Let’s hope they don’t get injured during warm up or first half…!
