Like we ever doubted that....We're in for a very tough period now and I'll certainly continue to hold both Flanagan's accountable over that period

Titans have the spoon covered. If we had all of those injuries and HIA's that we had last night in those past games IFWT, we would have been beaten by bigger margins. The previous weeks games we just couldn't handle the onslaught by the opposition from the get go and we could not find enough energy to fight back because of exhaustion and the lack of a superior game manager.
If we were the one down 26-4 at half time last night, I could not see us rally to chase down the score. We lack fight back. Our wins this year so far have not been all that convincing - the best being against the Titans (38-16) who currently are running last. We beat the Knights 20-6 - only being able to score 2 points from a penalty goal in the second half after leading 18-0 at halftime. If we are in the games, we tend to play better in either the first half or the second, not in both in most cases. So strategies and game plans and minds are not consistent throughout the full 80 minutes.
The remaining games will be telling. The last game against the Panthers could have many bearings on the results. The Panthers might need a big win to finish in the top 4 so a thrashing on the cards - we battle to win to avoid the spoon and that could be a telling situation for the club.
Crossing fingers and everything else that Flanno, Young and Carr can get us more wins though.
Injuries happen and are part of the game.Without taking away from the obvious issues at the club right now, you do realise that we were down to 14 players with about 30 mins to go and zero reserves for the last 10 mins. Take away the injuries and HIA to Stewart and they probably win way more comfortably than what they did.
When guys like Klemmer and Guler are playing 60+ mins there’s obviously an in game issue and last night there was plenty. I hope you cheered when KF scored last night
Did you cheer when KF scored or did you kick the tv screen in disgust??Injuries happen and are part of the game.
Plenty of teams cop the same or similar amounts of injuries each week and cover them well without nearly blowing a 22 point half time lead, so it's really no excuse.
Sharks were up 28-12 vs Brisbane last week with 30 mins to go. Broncos won 34-28, Sharks nil injuries, full bench to finish the gameInjuries happen and are part of the game.

We won which is good but it needs to be looked at in context not just accepted if one is interested in where we are and where to from here.
We toughed out a very dire injury situation which was excellent.
We should be thankful a few things went our way mate in the game.
At 26-20 holding excellent field position with < 5 on the clock we yet again failed to ice a field goal which is abysmal.
While the players are doing a video review of the game S F should be reviewing his pre game presser especially re his commentary regarding C T.
Now the round is completed there should be an immediate announcement re our rosters comings and goings.
Shit it’s is not that hard to kick a field goal; everyone was bagging Ilias earlier in the year… is it a communication thing, confidence thing, don’t do it at practice thing..? ? ?Mind boggling that we didn’t set up for the FG. As for badly needed reinforcement signings I live in hope only !
No no no . Apparently plenty of teams cop the same or similar amounts of injuries each week and cover them well.Sharks were up 28-12 vs Brisbane last week with 30 mins to go. Broncos won 34-28, Sharks nil injuries, full bench to finish the game
WTF is that yoga guru person we had a few years ago because our mind set is "if we miss they will get a 7 tackle set and score".Shit it’s is not that hard to kick a field goal; everyone was bagging Ilias earlier in the year… is it a communication thing, confidence thing, don’t do it at practice thing..? ? ?
you’d think somebody would have a crack - Dallas Donnelly even kicked one over at Lidcombe one day.
Peter Fitzgerald - the Eels fans believed he was the new messiah and voted him in as the secretary of the club to show their appreciation !WTF is that yoga guru person we had a few years ago because our mind set is "if we miss they will get a 7 tackle set and score".
I distinctly remember the D D field goal it almost got him kicked out of the front rowers union.
Who was the Eels 2nd rower who kicked a FG from dummy half just on half way to beat us on the bell donkeys years ago?
Thanks for that StanJohn Muggleton
Ridiculous comparison.Sharks were up 28-12 vs Brisbane last week with 30 mins to go. Broncos won 34-28, Sharks nil injuries, full bench to finish the game
Heard on fox or abc radio that gutho went for try not field goalMind boggling that we didn’t set up for the FG. As for badly needed reinforcement signings I live in hope only !
Geez you’re a miserable merkin. That 2nd half was gutsy as f**k, surely even a douche bag like you could at least acknowledge that effortRidiculous comparison.
A team with no injuries gave up a big lead so that then excuses a team with injuries giving up a big lead?
My original point was that injuries aren't an excuse and then you come up with some nonsensical example.
What's your answer to how a team deals with injury? Kick stones for the rest of the season and hope the following season there's no injuries to deal with? They're part and parcel of the game and not an excuse at all.
Yeah definitely good that we held on with the injuries amassing, it was gutsy.Geez you’re a miserable merkin. That 2nd half was gutsy as f**k, surely even a douche bag like you could at least acknowledge that effort
I’m pretty sure we both know what’s coming next week vs Canberra.Yeah definitely good that we held on with the injuries amassing, it was gutsy.
Next week v Canberra we will be playing with 17 players, hopefully whomever comes in can do the job like a next man up mentality that most of the successful clubs seem to have when faced with challenges.
