Given Eddy Pettybourne and Sam Burgess will be back for Souths...they may line up like this:

1. Nathan Merritt, 2. Justin Hunt, 3. Dylan Farrell, 4. Shaune Corrigan, 5. Andrew Everingham, 6. John Sutton, 7. Adam Reynolds, 8. Luke Burgess, 9. Issac Luke, 10. Scott Geedes, 11. Sam Burgess, 12. Eddy Pettybourne, 13. Michael Crocker
RES: 14. Dave Tyrell, 15. Ben Lowe, 16. Chris McQueen, 17. Nathan Peats, 18. Jason Clark

Still a very good pack.

Does NSW Cup Rep selections mean we can't use Moylan,Robinson and Achurch?

They can play. Ivan won't pick them though. He would rather stick with the useless hacks like he has the whole season. I can take losing if we were to make changes but no the same idiots get a run

I'd go with...

Coote
Mansour
Daniela
Tighe (unfortunately)
Uaisele
Moylan
Taumata
Weston
Kingston
Plum
Newton
Ciraldo
Simpkins

Armit
Achurch
Sene Lefao
Austin

Don't think we can get around Tighe this week. Would much prefer Mansour taking the ball back from kicks and Simmons/Earl are hardly awe inspiring choices anyway. Still think Harry needs more time to work on his game, just doesnt have the decision making yet. Really think he's a year or so away. Not sure if Moylan will be better but I'm really interested in seeing what he has to offer.

Let's face it, no matter who we name it's going to be very tough this week. Weston, Kingston and Plum aside that's a NSW cup quality pack.

1. Coote
2. Uaisele
3. Tighe
4. Daniela
5. Mansour
6. Seijka
7. Taumata
8. McKendry (GOD PLEASE)
9. Kingston
10. Weston
11. Newton
12. Plum
13. Austin

14. Ciraldo
15. Armit
16. ?!
17. ?!

We've missed McKendry. That game against Parramatta anytime Grant was off our go forward really stopped. I wish Kingston had taken more control instead of expecting our inexperienced halves to. We lost all direction while Walsh was off.

Coote needs to help out in the kicking game.

I doubt Gordon is back this week.

Yet even still managed to score twice as many points without him on the field... in less time then when he was on the field and with the points scored while he was on the field coming from Siejka and Lewis.

I just love how even when we're "falling apart" without Walsh on the field, we still manage to score more points with fewer opportunities. It might not even be his fault to be honest... it could be him following the coaches orders exactly and when he is injured his replacements have the luxury of doing whatever they think is best at the time and as a result we get more tries which probably wouldn't have happened with the way Luke Walsh plays or is told to play.

Whatever the cause is... we tend to score more points without him on the field. The best example of this was when we didn't score a single point for 202 minutes with Luke Walsh playing every second of that time, and then when we finally did score another try he wasn't part of that set at all, and not long later he get injured and we scored 2 more tries.

Not that the tries scored without him meant much, when we went on to lose those games anyway. I just think there's plenty of examples where the team has been better without him on the field, and that's with absolutely no preparation at all for the players who replaced him... and with them doing it with the exact same players that he had at his disposal.

:lol: an intercept try & a short side raid is our attack lifting while was off. Did our kicks still go to the player? Did we get a repeat set or anything? We were no better either same the weeks he didn't play.

Walsh not playing against Melbourne & Dragons really helped our attack with the 2 tries in each game.

He comes back we score 9 tries in 2 against top 8 teams. I don't think he was overly great in either. I think it's the confidence he will do something on the last. Sure may not be the right option but something.

4 times in that Dragons game Grant or another forward got it on the last. The same happened on Sat night. Coote took a shot 40m out on the 3rd. Siejka had a few shockers too. That's the loss of direction we miss

Walsh has missed 2 games. We have used Austin, Burns & Siejka in the 6. We have had plenty of changes in the halves and our attack is still rubbish.

Our problems lie elsewhere. Sadly no one seems to want to fix them & would rather wait & hope the new signings slot straight in next year.

Franklin. We want to fix them. But our capacity to fix them are limited. That's the freakin issue.

Rubbish Fatiaki can play & yet no games. Achurch can play. Robinson can play.

How about Seluini or Taumata off the bench so we have impact? Surely we can mix somethings up. How about some set moves? What purpose did Siejka running across field from the scrum achieve?

We needed guys coming back across the grain to do something. Ciraldo standing at 5/8th flat footed then floating passes outwide. We have a flat backline. Surely they can work at training & stand deeper. Get some set moves going or stuff.

Hasler worked out what the Bulldogs can do with the roster & fixed the gameplan to match. We can do the same.

The best at the club at this is Vaipuna Tia Kilifi. He runs the best lines.

Yep. The try he scored in 20's was a great example of that. I understand the cap means he probably can't play this year. Surely we can do something to mix things up.

Granted injuries haven't been kind but it's part of footy. The coach needs to adapt. Remember people Elliott had a decent record until he came here. Lang barely missed the finals at Sharks yet only twice made it with us. So despite coming here with a good record needs to prove himself here.

Possibility.

But I doubt it.

He is probably due back in the next 2-3 weeks but I guess it will depend on his ability to cut & run.
