Burns is improving and that was probably always going to be the case as he is still young. I am fairly confident Jennings will improve too as he is also a talented youngster. Jennings is fairly good with the ball but needs to work on his defense.

Hard to comment on Jennings and Taliki, they've both been on extended injury rehabs. Both have great potential. Both are depth players so will spend time in the Bears. Every club has their depth players.

The only way you'll get 30 non-dud players is if they drop the cap system, Packer pulls out a quiet $100 million, and a lot of contracts are broken. Even then you have 13 millionaires playing for the Bears every week, getting board, wanting to play NRL, and eventually leaving regardless of the money.

Every team needs their fringe players. I reckon ours aren't that bad.

Jennings can't hold the ball properly though alien!!!! FACT...........

Also Keary is going to to try and catch out Sutto with his blistering speed!!!!!!!

We have to shut down Keary and try and rattle him. We have to rush him on his kicks and get Sammy charging at him full pelt!!!!

How many tackles do NFL running backs have to make?
They have to crash and pound into 700 + lbs of roided fuelled flesh consistently. Think about that.Just 10 carries per game can leave you sore and battered. I have seen De Marco Murray and Emmitt Smith carry the rock over 30 times in games that's a lot..... with casts on their broken hand/metatarsal bones. After most tackles they came up looking in pain and obviously hurting but they survived. Hunt should be ready to go next game the thumb should be solidified by The Easts game so why are they holding him back?? The Crisps if successful v Easts could catch fire so it should be all hands on deck..

In our high performance update today Paul Devlin said around 3-4 weeks away.

I'd say 3.
Hunt does not need all this dead time for a thumb fracture!!! Use a cast and let him play The Crisps could be about to embark on a run.

Have you all seen Easts bench this week?? Malakas everywhere such as Nat Butcher and Lindsay Collins who has teeth missing when smiling!!! Looks like a total meathead straight from a Hotel Brawl! Big advantage to the Crisps right there with Cook Zane Musgrove George B Clark et al. Big advantage that they must capitalise on.

NRL is not a tuck and run sport. The NRL back has to catch a ball passed from 5-15 metres away not placed into his hands. NRL back has to catch everything from an ankle high grubber to a 20m bomb. As stated an NRL back has to tackle clutching and grabbing. Most importantly an NRL back has to pass accurately. All these requires precise movements of the fingers, very hard in a brace. I remember Dylan walker scored some tries with a taped broken finger, but once the adrenalin wore off he was out 6-8 weeks. The current backs are doing their job, Hymel can wait.
