didn’t get to watch the game, only saw the highlights.
That teddy try says it all. DeBelin cops a falcon. Sloan has the chance to fall on the chooks player to complete the tackle. Instead he slides off him, allowing the player to get up, pass to teddy and the rest is history. f**king diabolical
Sloan slipped slightly but enough to have him falling away from Collins and without that balance, he was never going to secure him.

All he had to do was slow down and put his hand on Collins and it would have been a tackle. Or did I miss something? Sorry. Only saw the highlights.

Would it be fair to say that the Roosters have a massive window in 2024 but they have equally stacked their 2024 squad beyond belief

the 2024 squad they have won’t be matched for many years

they have serious talent leaving end of this season ie $4million pa of contracts

ie
JWH
Manu
Sauli
Saliti
Keary
Tupou?

they brought in Dom Young and Spencer

their best 17 is pretty much a SOO team

It’s fair to say that they are a glamorous club that any player would love to play for.

They don’t have a window, they have an open garage.

this team is always looking to win the GF. They don’t believe in rebuilding years.

teams like the dragons can’t compete against teams like this.

the salary cap is a joke when you have teams like Easts in the league

The Roosters don't always sign guys that are successful for instance Ryan Hall who was with them for 2019/2020. Played 11 games for them on the wing and didn't score a try. But he is one of the exceptions and not the rule.

The Roosters have a winning mentality and culture on and off the field. They endeavour to identify the best players on the market and look at opportunities to sign up those players that have the abilities and qualities to be a part of the Roosters system. Having Nick Politis as the Chairman of the club since 1993 and he being a very successful and educated businessman has been able to engage fellow highly regarded businessmen as part of the Rooster's Board.

Whether or not there is a sombrero involved with their signings or some other "special" ways of getting players to sign up, their reputation as a successful running leagues club speaks volumes about them so in general they would not have problems getting their men. Politis was the man able to lure SBW to the club in 2013 which helped them win the premiership that year. If not for Uncle Nick, SBW would not have returned to the NRL.

They identified Sua'alii as a great young player and lured him away from the Bunnies. They recently lured Dom Young from the Knights and he is killing it as their winger. The Roosters have just got something that players in general gravitate towards. I wish our club was like that.

Yep…it’s called $$$ in paper bags….or the chance to live in the eastern suburbs where it’s a major draw card for a young kid looking to be amongst all the action. Meanwhile, the dragons are in the gong. And if you want to live in Sydney, who the hell would want to travel an hour to get to training each day. Also, the dragons can’t even get a milestone date right on a jersey, or even spell the word “dragons” correctly. They are a basketcase. And unfortunately the secret is out

The Roosters are a club that works together in all aspects with common goals, and it all starts with the BOD.

Our BOD congratulates themselves on their organisational skills when the cheese platter arrives in time for the board meeting.

As someone who was fortunate enough to have watched the likes of Billy Smith, Ross Strudwick, Mark Shulman & Steve Morris play for us in the number 7, I'm almost happy not to watch us at all with that (C) Hunt killing us by pretending to be an elite half-back.
How many times has he been schooled by rookie halves? And they don't outrun or outmuscle him - they out-think him.
He seemingly has no ability to read a game or adapt or ad-lib. Every weapon in his under-equipped arsenal is either from the same well-thumbed playbook that everyone sees coming or it's a low-percentage Hail Mary play that either comes off and looks miraculous or more often backfires and is disastrous.
We've been stuck with this since 2018 and his continued presence makes a rebuild impossible.
There's just one solution - Punt the (C)Hunt!
FMD Corey Norman underperforming all those years in halves now have to put up with Hunt giving him a run for his money.
