Yep and none of them are as quick as those mentioned,
I reckon they are.
if they were we would see 65/70 metre tries and breaks as often as the Storm,
Not at all. The style of play is a huge factor, and Melbourne shift the ball inside their own half far more than we do. That's all.

Anyway the list of fastest players was published last year and none of Brown, Russell or Simonsson was named. Our fastest were Sivo, Moses and Gutherson. Not a single Storm player made the list:

you really need to pull back on questioning everything anyone posts. It’s unnecessary and not objective.
You need to stop being wrong on the internet.

His post game interview with Triple M where he insisted on continually swearing (f this, f that) and then said "i dont care that i am swearing" just shows he has the petulance and attitude of teenager still.

Then says "i'm really happy as i got 100 tries"
He is a wanker.

Souths have been pandering and making excuses for him since day dot and where has it got them.

Deep down the Roosters as much as they would love to have him realised pretty quickly he wasn't worth the drama.

Would be nice to have even one speedster at the Eels, watching Papenhuyzen, Meaney and Warbrick in one team doesn’t seem fair. Then again it’s all about the recruitment team.

Look at the 3 peat champions. They have average speed in the backline. I'd say it's equal to ours.
I reckon it's all about powerfull backs these days. Little bulldozers.Guys Like Too,May,Tago have nut busting torque That way the forwards do less work so can be smaller and more mobile and can defend better.

Canberra seem to have built a similar style to Penrith. Big powerfull backs and mobile forwards.

Our issue is our backs bar Will and Sivo are not powerful. And Sivo only uses his power every 4th run. It's nothing to do with their speed. They are just weak.
Russel however is looking a lot better. He still probably needs 12mths before he has real good power.

Maybe if the idiots in the media this includes all those dopes that post on Instagram or podcast actually interviewed other players not just the same dopes we would have better interviews.

Manly lose their winger have Ben T go to centre and Koola to the wing..

Also Manly have some speed out wide!

This is a great post and what ppl completely miss. Speed can't be trained. You need speed for those long distance tries or purely making something out of nothing...

Outside in plays working at the moment
When was the last time we did one? 2001?
I'd actually do a double inside play. Have 2 runners. Guth and Moses or Guth and Dylbro...
The whole shift shift shift out wide is very obvious and unless executed to perfection and quickly you become cannon fodder.
Get onto it Barrett...

Can someone please explain how Fruity Freddy and Basic Brandy failed to pick Oloakautu in the NSW squad last year?

I suspect you're talking about something other than speed because 'making something out of nothing' is about power and footwork more than pure speed. We have three blokes in last year's top 20, including Sivo and Gutherson who merkins think are slow:

1. Ronaldo Mulitalo (Sharks) 37.188km/h

2. Jason Saab (Sea Eagles) 37.116km/h

3. Maika Sivo (Eels) 36.864km/h

4. Dominic Young (Knights) 36.828km/h

5. Josh Addo-Carr (Bulldogs) 36.756km/h

6. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (Dolphins) 36.684km/h

7. Alofiana Khan-Pereira (Titans) 36.144km/h

8. Mitchell Moses (Eels) 36.108km/h

9. Jake Averillo (Bulldogs) 36.072km/h

10. Kalyn Ponga (Knights) 35.892km/h

11. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii (Roosters) 35.784km/h

12. Dylan Edwards (Panthers) 35.748km/h

13. Jahream Bula (Tigers) 35.748km/h

14. Blake Wilson (Bulldogs) 35.712km/h

15. Tyrell Sloan (Dragons) 35.676km/h

16. Herbie Farnworth (Broncos) 35.64km/h

17. Reuben Garrick (Sea Eagles) 35.64km/h

18. Fetalaiga Pauga (Roosters) 35.64km/h

19. Clinton Gutherson (Eels) 35.532km/h

20. Reece Walsh (Broncos) 35.46km/h

You don't tend to find players like Keary in the defensive line at Origin level. It's why Cleary got a run at 20 back when he had no attacking skills. It's because he can tackle (like Jeff Robson). Keary has won as many premierships as Cleary but he didn't last long in Origin.

Manly looked good, but were gifted possession in good field position.

Completions for Manly 69% and Roosters 71%.

Doesn't matter. Origin is that fast paced that there will always be retreating defences and him going at a tired defence last 10 mins of each half would be perfect. It's about how and when to use strike weapons.
Please don't talk about cleary, Robson and keary in the same sentence....it's embarrassing
