Liam Martin likey to play according to NRL Physio, so Sorro back to the bench.
No reason to change our backline, Tago can earn his spot back if good enough.

Who's been to the Bathurst game before? How early should I get there to get a decent spot to sit with the wife and kids aged 5,8?

I'm sure you will find a bench somewhere the ground. Try Bay 14.

Keen for this since the sharks will actually show up so we get a better idea of the team with some pressure.

Same backline please Ivan. That was the most solid they've looked in a while defensively.

Get their as early as you can. Getting there late means you have to park miles away and your choice of seating will be very limited. When we went people were bringing their own fold up chairs to sit on. Have a great day.

I went to the very first Bathurst game, also against the Sharks. They were running last but beat us anyway. Peter Wallace did his ACL. It was cold, wet and muddy, you had to stand on the hill. The highlight was when they handed out Oak at the gate after the game.

Round 2 wasn't our best moment in 2025. No Vegas this time.

Can't be complacent. We didn't bank enough early rounds in 2025 and it cost us the top 4.

Looks like it will be a dry track too. Sharks just scored 50 points. Our edges need to be alert.

I have been several times. Great venue the playing surface is immaculate. Even had a yarn to Mitch Barnett many years ago who was then playing Reserve Grade with the raiders.

Yes, I was at that game too. I bought the two t shirts as iirc it was our 1000th game and as you say it was muddy. Bathurst council dug the ground up and put in drainage etc. much better surface now. Good atmosphere for us bushies though. I was from Bathurst then and I was talking to Panther fans from all over the west. Mostly not members, but keen supporters which is great.

Couldn't agree more strongly with this, especially the fold up chairs..

Also, as it is run by Bathurst (and not the Panthers) so no food is allowed to be brought in. They are very strict enforcing this. I have a fight about this every year and Panthers deflect me to Bathurst, who want to make the most out of their only day in the sun.

Code Sport article indicating Tago wasnt dropped for form related issues and has been dealing with personal issues over the off season.. also stated he ran for more meters than any other player in nsw cup on the weekend..208m.

Still i think PA and jenkins deserve an extended run..

Tago needs to knock the door down in cup for 5 or 6 weeks..

I'm more interested in his defence. Also even in reasonable form we now have the issue of 5 good players and 4 positions.

Gates open, because people bring fold out chairs and you want to get a spot free of that..

It is a good trip out there

He still the usual come out of the line down there, It won't do him harm down there.

We know he can play, we see it for 5 games a year, He just needs the hunger for the meaningless games

Yeah he's always been in a panthers team at the top so would be easy to learn to coast and turn it up when finals happen but can't be doing that.

Chins, I totally agree. 'Milky' Jenkins last Friday night played 'out of his skin' and deserves his spot in the team.

Is Tago's future in the back line off the bench perhaps. Love to hear what others think.

I was watching Bloke in a bar' and one of the presenters said he thought Tago was injured, (which was clearly wrong) since he played on Saturday avo at St Marys.

I don't mine the podcast, but clearly 'they' dropped the ball on this one. Anyone keen on messaging or emailing them to correct the mistake. Or is that too needy and nerdy ?

Could/ would Tago be a good impact off the bench. A lighter forward with good footwork. (I stole this thought TBH from the same podcast).

My son used to live at Bathurst about 8 years ago. We always sat in the grandstand. It was a lovely atmosphere though. I really enjoyed it.

I think (they used to be) strict about bringing food and drink in as local service groups man the stalls for food and drink. I think they were pretty reasonably priced too.

Enjoy the night. Bring a cardi though I can remember a good number of years ago going to Canberra for an early season game. Boiling hot at Penrith. Got to Canberra about 6 degrees. I was fortunate that I shoved my jacket in my stuff. So many folks that night had goose pimples on goose pimples.....Enjoy.
