Slayers (1-0-0) vs Blues (0-0-1) - Slayers had a good match last weekend and shouldn't have trouble with the Blues. Hopefully we will see the Blues improve throughout the season. Slayers 58 Blues 12

Thirteens (1-0-0) vs Kings (0-1-0) - Kings should give the Thirteens a tougher match then what they say round 1 against the Blues. I think the Thirteens' experience will allow them to come up on top. Thirteens 62 Kings 24

Warriors (0-0-0) vs Rhinos (0-0-0) - Both teams are new to the comp but the Warriors have a talented and experienced squad. I think they will fall in one of the top two positions by the end of the season in the south division. No telling what the Rhinos can bring to the table yet. Warriors 48 Rhinos 20

Rebellion (0-1-0) vs Fight (0-0-0) - With the Rebellion drawing to an unexperienced Kings squad they will have to come out strong against what should be a very experienced Fight squad this year. Fight 58 Rebellion 24

Axemen - Bye
Eagles - Bye
Mayhem - Bye

Usually you are pretty spot on with your predictions, but I think this one is going to be a very close shootout. Warriors 36 Rhinos 28.

Seems like this is one of the most competitive seasons to date. Only team that is over matched seems to be the Blues. Is there any particular reason the Blues are struggling so mightily? Poor numbers? No imports?

Think the league can do anything to step in and help? I bet the Blues could really use the 2 players from the Bulls that just joined the Fight, however, I'm not sure if that would work Logistically.

I honestly think the best thing to do to ensure sompetitive balance would be to have a yearly import draft. Have the league itself handle the recruitment and distribution of imports. You could turn it into a nice event at a venue like a casino and have the teams who finished last in the league picking the best import prospects.

Maybe I just have "Draft Fever". In the USA drafts are a huge money maker, the NFL football draft and NBA Basketball draft atre HUGE events, and really are the first step in turning around a struggling franchise.

Who refereed this game? USARL has struggled for good refs up north since Mik Shammas left. Don't they have four refs in the Mid Atlantic?

One of the newish guys to the USA, Cody Kuxmann, Was on RFL national panel, while doing university. Did the Boston/Blues game and RI Rebellion/Kings game last week.

Cody is a young referee doing a solid job. It is the toughest gig in the game, especially with limited touch judge support, so well done to Cody for being committed to the game as an official.

What is the Kings roster looking like? Added Cunz and what other players from AMNRL? Any Wildcats Dragons, Knights players? Looking like a solid squad so far.

We've also added Matty Walsh and Michael Goward, two players with solid AMNRL experience, as well as a bunch of talented Americans.

We're hopeful of a reserve match against Philly this week.
