Round 2 Raiders vs Titans

1st away game of the season , we dont normally play well against them up on the Gold Coast.

But I think this year it will be our turn , even though we lost last night there were a heap of positives to come from the performance.

RR is in doubt with the Wighton been mentioned as his replacement but he is on report for a spear tackle and will more than likely be suspended for it.

Yeah that Wightin tackle didn't look good. I doubt he'll be available.

If not Pelo, bring on the great Edrick Lee!

if RR is out I'd push croker to the wing and chuck thompson in the centres

didn't think wighton's tackle was that bad, hardly worth a suspension

Id imagine a few are in front of Bani even if Wighton gets suspended.

JT to centre , Croker wing
Pelo to wing
Massey to wing

Thurling to wing, still a better choice than Bani :D

How long before Low is fit?

0-5 is our record against them up there

If the Titans were fair dinkum they would have put 40 on that cowboys effort.

If they guys play like they did against the storm, we should break that duck.

Can pretty much rule out Wrighton, out for 2 weeks with early plea and 3 weeks if found guilty.

Ak fk that sucks with Wighton out.

Croker to the wing and JT to centre, I want to see what Croker offers on the wing.

I'm hoping it's a dry track and the refs are on our side for a change else we've got buckleys

Honestly why are you here? You obviously stopped supporting the club a long time ago... What would you do differently exactly? I mean with your years of Rugby League CEO experience you do obviously know better than everyone else so you would have the entire Australian side playing for you under the salary cap but otherwise what changes?

The Canberra Raiders have named rookie Jack Wighton in the wing for potentially his debut match this weekend against the Gold Coast Titans at Skilled Park.

Wighton will need to have his Grade two dangerous throw downgraded at the Toyota Cup judiciary on Wednesday night. Wighton will plead guilty to the charge but will dispute the grading. If he’s successful he’ll make his NRL debut on Saturday night.

The other change for the Raiders is Tom Learoyd-Lahrs who will miss the match with a re-occurrence of a foot injury, with Trevor Thurling coming into the 17 on the bench. Brett White will move from the interchange to take Learoyd-Lahrs starting prop position.

Learoyd-Lahrs is only expected to miss one week and should be available against the Roosters next weekend.

Raiders Coach David Furner said the changes due to injury were not ideal, however he said the team was confident with the players coming into the side.

“Trevor Thurling has fully recovered from the Achilles injury he sustained at the end of last season and he was very solid for us in both trials,” Furner said.

“Jack Wighton will hopefully get an opportunity to make his NRL debut this weekend and that would be an exciting thing for him and the team. We are contesting the grading of his charge at the judiciary and we’re confident we can get it downgraded so he won’t miss out.”

Wighton wont play , I cant see him beating the grading for the tackle.

Pelo will take his spot Id imagine.

Losing TLL is a bummer , hope Trev rips in. We dominate up front we will win
