All i can say is that won't be the side who takes the field, unless Owen and Joel Edwards are injured and just named in the hope they will be fit by game day, because they are probably the best two players in the side.
Simon Williams must be injured.
Johnathon Ford might add to his dally m or whatever points if he gets a game, or maybe even if he doesn't.
Not a very strong side.

Still no Blackett...[/quote]

Speaking to one of the blokes in the 20's the other day and he said that Blackett had re aggreviated an achilles tear he suffered earlier in pre-season. Which is a shame because apparently hes added 7 kilos of muscle to his frame and was training the house down prior to his injury.

I thought Georgalis would name Goodwin and Mckendry on the bench this week with Paulo and Tia Tia coming into the starting 13.
Either way..Pretty good looking team! We will get to see Masada tear another 20's team to shreds!

It's interesting to see Claude Gordon has been picked up by the Knights.

I'd be surprised if he isn't starting halfback very soon.

He is a weak prick of a guy, the way he left the Magpies in the lurch on several occasions by just dissapearing plus the fact he did the same with the NYC this year demonstrates his lack of any character. He ran off during the day while the club official giving him free board was at work.

Lucky we have far more talented players in our side and he would have been lucky to get a run

Good to see ex Roosters Blake Ayshford (Tigers), Brett Lane (Tigers) & Zeb Tahwa (Storm) getting a run.

Roosters team is:

Jarvarn White
Allan Heldsinger
Mark Talanoa
Antonio Winterstein
Galu Teo
Ben Jones
Ben Cronin
Martin Kennedy
Brock Molan
Mose Masoe
Anthony Cherrington
David Hala
Rohan Ahern

Tom Symonds
Hemani Moala
Baden Hall
James Tamou

Not sure what happened to Sandor Earl, Luke Towers, or Stanley Waqa. Personally, i would have Towers at fullback (he must be injured to not be selected though), Waqa starting at prop with Masoe on the bench instead of Moala (like it was last week), & i would also have Jake Friend over Thomas Symonds. That would leave Earl, Moala and Teo fighting it out for the wing spot.

Strongest Roosters team IMO is Towers, Heldsinger, Talanoa, Winterstein, Moala, Jones, Cronin, Kennedy, Molan, Waqa, Cherrington, Hala, Ahern, BENCH: Friend, B Hall, Masoe, Tamou. With reserve backs being Earl, Teo, White & Peyroux, & reserve forwards being Clayton & M Hall, with Daniel Randall & Tom Symonds as utilities.

If he is any good he should start this weekend.
Joel Brown and Ryan Stig are both out injured.
Joel Burraston was tried last week and was hooked off in about 10 minutes.
Paulson is the worst halfback i've ever seen.
I notice Theeron Pearson has not been named in the Knights Ball side, so if he is not injured he could be a late inclusion for NYC - but basically the Knights have a crises at halfback.

the raiders have been boosted by the return of a few good players from suspension

michael brophy and travis waddell are back into the side.

1. Josh Dugan
2. Michael Brophy
3. James Stuart
4. Justin Carney
5. Steve Naughton
6. Michael Picker
7. Matt Smith
8. Nick Skinner
9. Brock Dunn
10. Dan Scanlan
11. Joel Thompson
12. Jarrad Kennedy
13. Shaun Fensom (C)

Subs:
14. Travis Waddell
15. Zac Merritt
16. Diego Codyre
17. Matt Britt
18. Todd Rheinberger
19. Todd Grace

Bloody strong team imo... Dugan was a class above the rest last week against the knights, and Brophy is a quality talent... Thompson also looks too good for U/20s and will probably be in FG before the season is out and Fensom locking the scrum is another quality back rower, the halves are slick and effective. Mick Picker played the house down last week... good honest front row also.

Penrith IMO are the team to beat in 2008, so a good hit out for the Raiders this week. A win would be sensational but ill be happy if we push them and its a good close tussle.

The Raider's are in thise U20's up to their eyeballs... if penrith and parra faulter, they are one of few sides imo, who could swoop and take the crown

I agree with that.
The Knights have a couple of obvious deffiencies in the playmaking department, but the very strong Knights forward pack was totally dominated by Canberra last week as well, and the very classy Knights backline were never allowed into the game.
Canberra look strong and well drilled right across the park and never let the Knights into the game.
