Can we get up again for another huge game! The attitude after the loss shows that one hurt. So I think we can.
We didn’t really play that “expansive” footy we were promised I think due to the field being smaller in width. And I think just not wanting to not turn over cheap ball to a good side
We did just lacked a little punch through the middle .
hopefully liddle’s fit and will help with that quicker out of dummy half

Feagai came on in place of Suli then Tu, so that burnt any injection on Lykan.
Though I do think he’ll he brought on to spark things if we’re down

Think it's going to be really tough for our boys to get up for this one after the hurt and disappointment from the rort in Vegas. Whether you know it or not, and whether you try and move on, that shit has a real effect. The plus is they get an extra week to get over it. If we were playing this coming weekend I'd have given them no chance of backing up. Hopefully they can channel the hurt into whacking melbourne and getting the season back on track with a 1-1 start.

The season will not be over should the Storm defeat the Big Red V . The season has only now begun, all teams will have their ups and downs just as the Dragons will.

We certainly do not possess the big names as many other clubs do , however to an extent that is negated by the experience of finals football of our coaches. You don’t believe that Flanagan and Michael Ennis burst out into tears in our Vegas dressing room after the match calling out that the footy gods were having their vengeance upon St.George Illawarra for the 11 consecutive premierships do you ?

Of course not, their thoughts were how to channel that tremendous wholehearted display into our future games, the plans already formulating in their minds .

As for me , I will be waiting until the end of the season before I bring out the cut- throat razor .

If we don’t start getting results from all the hard work we put in than that would be deflating on the playing group. This is a must win game tbh.

Imagine this scenario if you would Redvdragon21 , in the final round of season 2026 our lads need to win their remaining match to secure a semi final berth ( which would be the first since 2018 under the tutelage of the maestro Mary McGregor ) would you say that game was a must win game or perhaps this weekend’s game . Which of the 2 matches would be of the most significance , hypothetically speaking of course ?

At the bulldogs game, the bookies and betting agency had the dogs to win. The punters had the dogs to win, the media had the dogs to win.

When the Dragons look like they were about to win. What happened, all the dodgy referee calls came out. The powers that be wanted the dogs to win.
So, what do you think is going to happen at the Filthy purple drizzle game?
The powers that be want the storm to win, it's all in the script.

How do we address this problem ? No point in watching anymore I’ll check back in 5 years

I don't believe this conspiracy nonsense that results are "rigged". It's tin foil hat crap.
However there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that referees have an unconscious bias towards the so-called "better team" in games. It's why teams like us, The Tigers, the Titans and Newcastle etc currently get screwed over constantly in crucial decisions. Handling error? If its a "good" team, then obviously stripped. If its a "struggling" team then obviously loose carry.
Back in 2009 -2011 (particularly 2010) we got more than our fair share of "good calls" because we were a "good" team and that unconscious bias swung our way often. Now we're in the doldrums (but hopefully coming out the other side of that) we're getting constant BS from the refs.
Reverse that situation at the end of the Vegas game and if the Dragons had the ball and dropped it there's zero doubt in my mind that Atkins would have ruled loose carry. Unconscious bias. Unfortunately (and frustratingly) it becomes kind of a self replicating phenomenon. Hopefully over the next few years as the roster improves we get to see a team that starts being ahead far enough in games that those dud calls start 1. becoming less relevant and 2. start going our way.

I’d replace Guler with LPT . A starting prop who only runs 64 in10 runs he is taking the piss.
100% and Kerr ran for 3 hit ups for 27 metres in 24 minutes he either starts and makes more runs or he is also dropped? but the question who is there that can take his place?
Who made the decision to not offer Klemer another year? without securing the services of an alfa prop for 2026 ?
Again poor roster structuring at this club.
