100% and Kerr ran for 3 hit ups for 27 metres in 24 minutes he either starts and makes more runs or he is also dropped? but the question who is there that can take his place?
Who made the decision to not offer Klemer another year? without securing the services of an alfa prop for 2026 ?
Again poor roster structuring at this club.

Id tell Guler pull your finger out or you will be dropped after the Storm game I would then start Kerr in his place to see how he goes as a starter. I will probably be laughed at for this but our next game really is a must win, we can’t be 0 from 2.

I don't believe this conspiracy nonsense that results are "rigged". It's tin foil hat crap.
However there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that referees have an unconscious bias towards the so-called "better team" in games. It's why teams like us, The Tigers, the Titans and Newcastle etc currently get screwed over constantly in crucial decisions. Handling error? If its a "good" team, then obviously stripped. If its a "struggling" team then obviously loose carry.
Back in 2009 -2011 (particularly 2010) we got more than our fair share of "good calls" because we were a "good" team and that unconscious bias swung our way often. Now we're in the doldrums (but hopefully coming out the other side of that) we're getting constant BS from the refs.
Reverse that situation at the end of the Vegas game and if the Dragons had the ball and dropped it there's zero doubt in my mind that Atkins would have ruled loose carry. Unconscious bias. Unfortunately (and frustratingly) it becomes kind of a self replicating phenomenon. Hopefully over the next few years as the roster improves we get to see a team that starts being ahead far enough in games that those dud calls start 1. becoming less relevant and 2. start going our way.
Unconscious refs should be put in the head bin.

At the bulldogs game, the bookies and betting agency had the dogs to win. The punters had the dogs to win, the media had the dogs to win.

When the Dragons look like they were about to win. What happened, all the dodgy referee calls came out. The powers that be wanted the dogs to win.
So, what do you think is going to happen at the Filthy purple drizzle game?
The powers that be want the storm to win, it's all in the script.
How do we address this problem ? No point in watching anymore I’ll check back in 5 years

Hey 77,
We are about the same vintage. You should remember Greg Hartley.

So, you are telling me matching fixing isn't done anymore and game outcomes are not decided by referees and bookies anymore?

If you’re silly enough to believe that then why are you watching the sport still? If the sport is rigged then it’s pointless watching it.
Do one off isolated incidents happen? Sure but rare - like that first point scoring penalty scandal a decade or so ago. But systematic match fixing by the governing body and betting agencies? That’s tin foil hat nonsense for sad people who believe in chemtrails, Bigfoot and that 9/11 was an inside job.

There are just too many referring decisions, even the bunker when they have time to look at it, that are head scratchers.

Crighton hits Tu with a swinging arm, direct contact to the head, it's a text book sin bin.
He was already low before Crighton hit him, It's not as if he fell into Crighton.
It's not about interpretation it's black and white.

He didn't even get placed on report, nor sited by MRC, how ?

I know saying games are rigged is a stretch however we are forced to believe something is going on with officials, favouritism or NRL bosses due to the inconsistency of ruling in matches.

Too many things happen that have no reasonable explanation.

Now that the dust has settled from the match we must also come to terms with the fact that the boys did have the opportunity, in fact ample opportunities to snatch the win in golden point via our many field goal attempts, but as we are fully aware were unable to do so .

It hurts to say so , however we could not put the ball between the sticks , with one attempt being thwarted completely as the defence had moved up very quickly.

Perhaps in future our kickers will position themselves correctly as well as giving themselves adequate time to kick unhindered - experience for the future , but unfortunately at a high price .

Can’t believe we didn’t ice that game with a full set 40 metres out. That was the worst set I have ever witnessed by far

I have a feeling that this season will have many close results , in more instances than in previous seperated by a lone field goal .

I do not know if we have someone at training who is actually showing the team’s kickers on the best way to kick goals and in particular field goals ( Jamie Soward did before taking up coaching duties with the women’s team ) , however we certainly need someone with the skill-set to pass on his experience.

Dean young should know all about setting up to get into a good position for a shot. Surely he should step in and say something

I believe that the man has his hands full with his defensive structures , which going on the Vegas game were most pleasing .

However I was thinking more along the lines of a specialist , there are plenty of them about , it would be money well spent .

Open your eyes match fixing happens in all sports why do you think it wouldn’t happen in the nrl ?

Maybe we could ask the nrl to apply the blowtorch to the refs?
