Big news in the Penrith game was that Harold Matthews captain Harry Seijka made a shock debut in place of Paulo. I can't remember Penrith ever playing a kid from Mat's in Flegg/20's in the same year.

It shows how highly Penrith rate Seijka and he will probably be the First Grade halfback in 2010.

Just amazing!...thats great news

But I feel a little bad...as Matt Wright is blitzing it currently but is off to the Sharks next year. Although I gotta admit...if I was 18 and offered $150k a season guaranteed with an option for another $75k if I play 5 first grade games, I would too.

Earlier, the Toyota Cup team had a resounding 40-4 win in a game that featured fairly lopsided penalty count. Going to the half time break leading 14-4, the Tigers failed to make any headway with a flattering 8-1 penalty count as the Panthers found new ways to be penalised.

Making his debut for the team was halves sensation Harry Seijka. At just 16 years of age, Harry played Harold Matthews at the start of the year and has skipped SG Ball to play Toyota Cup. Brought about by a distinct lack of halves available to coach Steve Georgallis, Seijka managed to score a try on debut.

Already being compared to Panthers great Greg Alexander, Harry is not comfortable with the comparison and is looking to make the most of his current deal with the Panthers having come from Bathurst to make it big.
Harry Seijka:

Knights had an easy 32-12 win - were up 32-0 with 10 to go but clocked off.
All four props for the Knights were terrific, but Blake Gallen had probably his best game for the Knights and might have pushed past Joel Edwards to be our best young prop now.

With a fair crack from the ref, Penrith could have won the game by 60 points. Seijka was great on debut. Should be a real confident boost for him.

We have agreat pack of forwards and if we get Coote, Iosefa and Graham back for the semis, I can't see any team beating us.

Did St George have many/any plyers missing?

Dogs did well to win without John Kite, Ben Barba, Arana Taumata & Heka Nanai. Especially up against such a good team.
