Our pack will get monstered, especially with no Woods. We gotta play smart & wide of the ruck, take their forwards out of the game as much as possible.

Benji needs to play at least an average game & not trot out another uninterested and uninspiring performance.

I can't understand the selection of Spence on the bench. He offers nothing at the moment. He may improve in the future but as he will not be at the club next year we have no interest in his development. It may sound callous but no other club would play a guy who couldn't make the team on merit unless he featured in their future plans and they hoped that with experience he would improve. Guys like Marshall and Ashyford are also departing the club at the end of the year but they've done enough over the years to warrant section.

Completely agree re Spence Ted.

I can't see what Penrith see in Spence, definitely not worthy of a 2 year contract.

Much better off blooding guys who'll be around next year.

What purpose does Anasta serve on the bench also?

I think Potter wants to give us the best chance of winning the game and while Spence offers nothing in attack,he is reliable in defense and against s for Manly our defense will be under the gun for 80 minutes. As for Anasta, got no idea why he is in the 17, maybe versatility at a pinch

That sides looks horrible. Our forwards will get destroyed and Anasta on the bench, what the f*ck for. We're in for a long night I think.

Personally I would rather Anasta on the bench than on the run on side. I just see Anasta as an interim measure for the team.

We need Galloway out there.

If we had Kori I would be confident tonight. Still not sold one little bit about Lawrence improving, improved maybe but still ordinary and a lliability imo.

I like anasta at halfback. His best game for us was at number 7 and I can't see value in him anywhere else.

Gee what a dumb comment of mine above re liking the idea of Anasta at 7.

The other 2 threads can be used to comment on Anasta and Marshall but before I go, the passing efforts of these 2 guys is an out and out embarrassment.

I'm with you on this one. What were we thinking!

Anasta is like an old-time boxer; last to know when his time is up and his time is up. No more 1st grade please.

Benji has even lost his pass; so what is the point.

Farah doesn't seem interested.

I feel sorry for the remaining guys who are putting 110% in.

An old boxer, well put.

There were some positives for me. Blair has really improved and I guess he is looking to make the KIWI squad for World Cup.

BMM played his best game, IMO, when he went off, they actually lost their momentum. I like Sue but I think he is simply best served as a bash and barge 2nd rower.
Thompson played very well tonight as well.

I was not sure where Sironen was positioned when he came on but think it was 'wide running back rower' it really surprised me that Potter stuck with Anasta and they would have been best served with Sironen's better pass in closer.

I think our 4 most experienced players were all poor , add all their heads together and there still wouldnt be enough grey matter to create 1 football brain... its pathethic really :(

Congrats Blair , your best game so far mate well done .

That try was great. Benji, Robbie & Anasta were all poor with Anasta a stand out for worst game I have ever seen a first grader put in.
