Glad we won all those games earlier in the year when things were going our way. That was what Ivan was saying, as he mentioned Origin and injuries are likely to impact season.

So we are 3 wins ahead of the 4th placed Eels, with a materially better +/-. 3 wins should get us third place. Next week we get back Api, gain TPJ and maybe Nath and Yeo as well. Fish is not injured and is expected to return with at least a few weeks remaining before finals. To’o should be back for the finals.

Did we honestly believe that we would win every round every season?
Yes, and if you don't, you're not a real supporter... (this is sarcasm by the way)

Garbage. Who is going to beat us with a Cleary/Luai halves pairing?
On there day, and given the other 15 players we may have available, or not available, I would suggest the Bunnies, Roosters, Sea Eagles and Eels. This whole notion our halves pairing can somehow carry us through is just stupid. It is a 17 man game, you really do need your best 17, and the way things our trending we’ll be lucky to field a team with 13 of our best 17.

Martin is a handy replacement for JFH. Still got 2 Origin forwards and Kiks. That is a decent pack...Just sadly not against Storm

Our best available pack will still have a very poor bench. Cant really get a balanced pack with what's available.

8. Leota
9. Kenny
10. Martin
11. Kikau
12. Capewell (solid up to here)
13. Eisenhuth

14. Salmon / Naden / Rennings
15. Leniu
16. Sorensen
17. Tago

Next week however looks good

8. Leota
9. Api
10. Martin
11. Kikau
12. Capewell
13. Yeo

14. Kenny
15. TPJ
16. Leniu
17. Sorensen / Tago / Eisenhuth

No our defence will win us the games. The halves will ensure we control the game and keep it from guys like TPJ

What 4 will be missed after next week? TPJ is to come in too

Hence where I said this week will be a punish. I'd start Sorensen. Have Leinu and Eisenhuth bench to keep a normal middle rotation

Everyone is carrying on like this will be our side all year. Guys will come back and add Origin halves to that pack and it is still better than most sides.

Toó and Fish too return. No reason to see that we won't still finish top 2

At the end of the day, all the bullshit you churn out means nothing.

You were out there not so long ago suggesting Nathan Cleary wasn’t essential to our premiership chances, well good luck with that suggestion. He is one further knock away from being outed for the season which could occur in his first game back or in the first tackle in the GF if we make it that far.

I have said consistently this whole notion of the current competition being a two horse race was plain stupid and as recent events have shown it was.

lets put aside this whole stupid notion of a guaranteed us and Storm GF. It could be an Eels and Bunnies GF.

Since Cleary hurt himself in SOO 2. How many games have we lost?

What recent events? have changed it?

Your in denial. FMD get into reality.

Cleary when he comes back one further knock away from his season being ended. His season being ended means our season is ended, probably doesn't really matter about the other injury concerns. No Cleary, no premiership it is that simple despite your delusions we can somehow overcome his loss and the issues around others.

Lets look at the records of the sides 3-6 since SOO 3. We started our 'struggles' Remembering we are 4-0 over the last 5 weeks. Ave 13 points a game against.

Souffs 5-0 conceding 17.2 a game. Struggled against Dogs
Parra 2-2. Still have games against Storm, Roosters and Souths
Roosters 3-2 Ave 25.2 points against
Manly 4-1 Ave 16.4 against

So we play 3 of the 4 sides trying to take our spot. All have had various struggles across the same period. All our guys are coming back...So where is this drop going to come from?

Others have played on with such an injury and not had other issues...You just always like to complain.

As for if that injury happens the year is ended. We beat Melbourne in Round 3 without him and Api...

If Melbourne have a couple of key guys out too then you can't see we certainly lose. No team will get to the GF 100% fit

I realise we have injuries, but that team is no match for the storm.

I really hope Tago gets a descent run.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named his squad to face Melbourne Storm at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

With Nathan Cleary (shoulder), Isaah Yeo (concussion), Apisai Koroisau (suspension), James Fisher-Harris (absent), Brian To'o (ankle) and Tyrone May (knee) unavailable for selection, it's a new-look Panthers outfit that will face Melbourne Storm.

Matt Eisenhuth has been named at lock, Liam Martin shifts to starting prop, and youngsters Izack Tago and J'maine Hopgood join the bench.
