Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named his squad to face Cronulla Sharks at Panthers Stadium on Friday.

Spencer Leniu will make his NRL debut to cap off a whirlwind season for the 18-year-old prop, who started the year in the Jersey Flegg side, was upgraded to the club's top 30 list and recently agreed to a contract extension.

Viliame Kikau returns from suspension and Sione Katoa is back via the bench, as Jarome Luai and Wayde Egan have been ruled out with their respective injuries.

Panthers received an exemption from the NRL to name 19-year-old playmaker Matt Burton on the list of reserves.

The Panthers will wear the 2019 Home Jersey.

Well looks like what I heard about Crichton was wrong. No way Ivan brings him in now. Burton will be forced in if Jimmy is suspended. We won't risk a 3rd rookie in a must win game.

Hopefully they were wrong about Luai aswell.

That's my thinking too. Considering the judiciary get it wrong more often than not. It gives me hope Jimmy will play.

But he is clearly guilty and the judiciary like punishing us even if we aren't. Worst case though we get one guy debuting. Big decision with our season on the line.

Interesting to see how we rotate the bench. Glad we have some more size.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Fish going a bit wider later in the game or floating. We need to start utilising him and his ball playing better given our stagnant attack.

Your not too far off. They want to debut Crichton very soon. It still could be this week.
Whare has been encouraged to look elsewhere next year.

They won't know about Luai until late Thursday. He meets the surgeon then.
