Want to see more of Saab and Ford in FG for years to come.
same and LUCH aswell hes our best forward to me....offloads at will, a team with Ford AND Luch...both GUN offloaders, of we have the right fast little men , Dufty, Sailor, we will be tops again with a new coach...one essential ingredient for the IF...

at this stage because of the hopelessness of Norman at FBH I say get Dufty back and let him continue hes the best FB we have clearly right now anyway.... we need the little fellas to ALWAYS back up LUCH like terriers! thats why Duff should return and at the min have Sailor in there also for the offloads if I was coach my whole attack wold be around that... after teaching the little blokes to tackle......how about this

Agreed yesterday was a perfect game to bring back Dufty.

I doubt Duff will be back in 1st grade any time soon. If you watched the CC game yesterday he's still be forced backwards in tackles at that level.

McGregor alluded to the fact that next week may see another debutant and my guess that will be Sailor, who, I must say, I wasn't that impressed with yesterday.

Add to that, he is not in the club's plans moving forward.

I watch both the CC and NRL games on Fox and will replay again today. In the CC game I was impressed with Kerr, Timm and Pearson. Clune although making himself not available to play NRL, was also very good.

In the NRL game, Vaughan, McInnes, Frizell and Leilua all played well. Ford put in a good debut performance.

I would like to know how good big Luch could be under a descent coach, Maybe we will find out next year under Ricky Stewart (debatable about descent but definitely better)

Lol
Teflon L plate saying they scored lucky tries off tap ons etc. Does he not realise we scored 3 off kicks, you know the sort of tries he doesn’t recognise, Delusional :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
We were as bad as them & couldn’t put them away. About the level we’ve become under his coaching.
He is completely out of his depth as a coach , saying shit like that proves it again .....

In years gone by at this time of year I remember watching the bottom 2-3 teams play each other and laugh at how bad they were and how low their standard of play was. I would even feel sorry for their supporters because it was obvious they were so far of the pace. Watching that game yesterday it hit me, we are now one of those teams. It is a very sad time in our history that we have become one of those teams/clubs that everyone looks at and just knows that we are so far of the pace that they do not even care when they play us because we are not a threat.
It is an absolute disgrace that our board have allowed us to get to this point, I remember when our club had certain standards that were just expected which meant we were very rarely out of the finals. It has been clear for a number of years now that those standards have disappeared. Very sad for all our supporters.

I agree mate .....DESPERATE WORDS FROM A DESPERATE MAN......he will grasp at anything that will prop up his short comings....we know, he knows it, obviously the board must know it but refuse to act.....like his days as a painter and the tins of paint he used, you can keep the lid on em but eventually the paint dries up one day.....

Mary still has his paint tins - he sniffs them before each post match interview

A professional coach would have had something decent/gracious to say about the Titans considering their predicament.
Let's face it, they scored some scintillating tries.
Instead he wanted to make excuses about some of their tries.
By all means, point to our own attacking prowess as a positive but also lament about our poor defence.
Last week Easts put nearly 60 on the Titans but the important stat was they only conceded one try.
Here's the real issue for 2020...
If we don't tighten our defence like Canberra did this year, doesn't matter what McGregor says and how they try and spin next season, we will be also rans once again.
No new recruits, more or less the same squad. No Widdop, no top class FB, suspect wingers, same centre pairing.
What significant dynamic is going to change?
JDB's exoneration?
Surely we are still not waiting for a court outcome to kick start next season.
On the one hand I am not looking forward to another season with the same stuff being served up week after week.
On the other hand, I am curious to see how much of McGregor's dust the Board has to eat before they sack him.
It really has become a self righteous battle of wills between the nepotism and incompetence of the Board and the obvious.
