If we want to not just make the finals but do well in them, we need to make some changes this week against the Warriors. Only 5 games to go, so that's 5 days to bed in a stronger 17. Pick and stick with the following team:
1. Dufty
2. Macdonald
3. Lomax
4. Lafai
5. Herbert
6. Widdop
7. Hunt
8. Frizell
9. McInnes
10. Vaughan
11. Leilua
12. Sims
13. De Belin

14. Graham
15. Ah Mau
16. Robson
17. Mann

The coach will never learn. He should have blooded players all year round otherwise we have no contingency plan.
I would have thought that someone within May have made the suggestion.
Dumb lot of suckers we have running this team.

Too many rookies in your starting lineup and your bench is way too light.

Rookies aren’t the answer. Just look at how Pereira got schooled yesterday.

we'll probably beat the crap out of them.

we'll probably beat the crap out of every side we play until regular season's end, looking like world beaters again.

and then come the finals.......

straight sets exit.

In relation to pereira he needs some time to adjust to first grade in for a game then out again is doing nobody any good everyone screamed for dufty to be given time when he first came in and we all want to see lomax but he’ll need to be given time too

Going against history, I think Flo will be dropped ( or some mysterious injury appear ).

NZ were blasted by their coach publicly. They wont be anywhere near as bad.

My fear is this, and its probably paranoia. A loss to NZ would / could lead to a string of losses.

Parra away... They have nothing to lose, and then away again at Leichtart against a team we lost to a few weeks back.

Its not just yesterdays loss, its our form for the last 4-5 weeks.

If Mary has any credibility then changes need to be made. Not all rookies, but maybe Mann in the starting line up, give Jordan one more week on the wing... Is Nene back ?

Season could go pear shaped quickly. Finishing outside the top 4 is clearly a possibility now, and that would be a failure again.

Lets get down there to the gong and support them, regardless.
We're all pissed off and hate this coach and the fact he is still with us.
But the passion for the club and the jersey will always be there.
The boys will be struggling after yesterday but can still turn it around.
A good home games support will hopefully help lift them.
It should be a good game too.

In all due respect, I think the support is dwindling, yesterday the Dragons supporters were not there in their usual numbers, secondly I think a top 4 finish won’t happen now.

Interesting @hewi ... We normally dominate the crowd at Alliance, or match them at least. Have heard your review from others as well. Worrying signs.

Understand what you mean and i could'nt make it yesterday with family commitments so can't really comment too much. But i just think, stuff it.
Lets get behind them and see what happens down the track. We probably will continue to slide but it ain't over just yet. Maybe its a Mary masterstroke and he is keeping things under wraps, haha

The problems against the Roosters were missed tackles by:
Aitken twice on Latrell Mitchell = 2 tries
Lafai misses Fergurson one on one 5 minutes to go = try
Total of 36 missed tackles!! we usually average 18 missed tackles..
so individual errors cost us 3 tries or 18 points...what do you do...Aitken outclassed easily - i know Mitchell is Greg Inglis reincarnated but still no excuses of how he was shoved around by a 21yo!!

I dont know if we have the answers....Lomax maybe - at least he has size and speed and a beautiful Gasnier like offload...but hes untested...

Mitchell was untested once too.
It’s a choice between naming the same tired old team that offers nothing, or going all out before the finals to add that bit of spice we lack.

Whatever way you chop and change, mix and match our backline, it's just not going to be good enough to compete in the finals. Annoying as we could have made a big push before June 30. Instead let's just leave one squad spot open for the heck of it.

For a while I think some, like me, were hoping we could win it on forwards alone, but no, Mary has stuffed that one up too.
