Hi Lucky Punters,

Here is the wrap for round 22. I would get on these hard, as there are rarely such big margins on offer.....take the starts if you can get them. By this I mean if my formulae says Storm by 12.5 points and you can get the cowboys with 13 start, go the cowboys...very excited, let’s cruel your bookie!!

STORM v. COWBOYS

The Storm have an enormous record against the Cowboys down at Olympic Park. The Cowboys faced a similar scenario last weekend against the Titans and overcome it but I do not think that they will get the same leeway in this game. If the Storm have the same amount of ball as the Titans had early against the Cowboys last weekend, they will put plenty on the Cowboys. The Cowboys scored off everything last weekend and Bowen was unstoppable on the hard fast ground. Olympic Park will not offer the same wide open spaces, the big Storm backs will cause havoc against the Cowboys outside men and Bellamy would be crazy not to start with Blair or Lima paired with White to lay a foundation against the powerful Cowboys pigs. a must win for the Storm and they will deliver.

Rating.....Storm by 12.5. For the margins Storm 13+.

PANTHERS v. DRAGONS

The Panthers got out of gaol against the Worriers last weekend and anytime you can come back from 26 points down it is a great effort but what were they doing being down 26 points in the first place. The Panthers will be stronger for the inclusion of Lewis but the Dragons forwards are not ready to get beat this close to the finals. How good is a side going when they can leave Smith and cooper on the bench along with the new Running Ronny Coote in Matt Prior. Penrith Park holds no fears for the red and white and they have big rating advantages all over the park. The big advantage for the Dragons is in the front row and that will be where the Dragons lay the foundation for a comfortable win.

Rating.....Dragons by 13. For the margins Dragons 13+.

MANLY v. RABBITS

The Rabbits have not won at Brooky since the Hog was a piglet and even though the Rabbits have a very slight advantage in the backs, the Manly pack look too strong for the Rabbits six. The Rabbit pack have a lot of of oomph but have trouble staying the distance. Last weekend they ran out of steam against the hard working Doggies pack and will have the same problem at Brooky against a fired up Manly pack. A big clash of the mighty mites in Orford and Sandow and Orford needs to run the pill a bit more in this game and I would not be surprised to see him on the scoreboard, maybe even more than once. I ventured down the beach the other day and there were a flock of seagulls standing on the beach with one giant pelican and all I could think of is, this is the Manly side with Twilliams, so from now on Twilliams will be known as the Pelican, looks a bit out of place but is trying to be one of the crowd. Anyway it is the Sea Gulls to get the chips at home.

Ratings.....Manly by 11. For the margins Manly 13+.

BULLDOGS v. RAIDERS

A rating advantage all over ANZ Stadium to the Dogs and the fifty points against the Bucked Broncos will be but a memory. The Greens are a season away from being able to match it every week with the big guns away from home and the Doggies will be keen to build momentum going into September. Look to Roberts to have a big game running on the edge of the non existent Green defence and having his big Centres finishing off his handiwork. The Greens have a fair record at ANZ and flogged the Doggies there last year but this will show how far the Dogs have come in 2009. a comfortable home win to a very solid team.

Ratings.....Bulldogs by 13. For the margins Bulldogs 13+.

WARRIORS v. TITANS

The Titans were given a wake up call against the Cowboys last weekend and need to finish off their chances against the Warriors to maintain their hold on a top 4 spot. Every time that their supporters get their hopes up, the Titans put in a shaky one and in reality they are still a few centres short of a real good side. Having a few debutantes is really hurting the Warriors overall rating and it is this experience advantage that will see the Titans home on a rough road trip. The up tempo Titans will wear down the big Warriors and with Princes poise they will sneak home. The Warriors were flattered by the defenceless Panthers last weekend and will struggle for points in this game.

Ratings.....Titans by 5. For the margins Titans 1-12

ROOSTERS v. TIGERS

A must win game for the Tigers against the Boosted Roosters. Will the Roosters be able to get up two weeks in a a row. Is Mini a 6? I believe that young Jones is potentially the best 6 in the comp and it would be a big mistake to start Mini at 6. a slight advantage for the Tigers mainly due to their great bench. The big Roosters pack will hold the key and if they can get over the Tiger Pack as they did against the Knights it could be a long night for the Tigers. These two sides usually have close tussles and the Tigers may have trouble backing up after their tough Monday Night game. The ratings favour the Tigers but the way to go may be the big start the Roosters, take the Roosters with the 7.5 or make a sure thing of it and take the 12.5 start the home side.

Ratings.....Tigers by 6.5. For the margins Tigers 1-12

EELS v. KNIGHTS

Two lightweight packs battling for supemacy and a top 8 spot. If the Knights are going to be any chance in this game their experienced but hot and cold halves pairing of Mullen and Jolly Rogers ( you dont know what your getting ) will have to take the points against the inexperienced but rapidly improving Robson and Mortimer. Mullens defence against the Roosters was non existent and the Knights pack went to water last weekend. Now there is a certain amount of speculation on whether the Knights will put in for Brian. My take is, if winning a Grand Final is better than sex, why would you stop trying to win a Grand Final when you would not jump off your squeeze half way through a sexual encounter if she said that this is the last time you were sleeping together, you would still get the job done! Anyway back to Parra Park and the big mobile Eels backs will finish all over the faltering Good Knights.

Ratings.....Eels by 6. For the margins Eels 1-12

BRONCOS v. SHARKS

The Bucked Broncos against the Gummy Sharks, compelling Monday Night Footy. If your kids have been playing up and not going to bed on time, make them stay up and watch this match and you will have no trouble getting them off to the cot anymore. The Broncos got lapped last weekend and they rate to win by 20 points, so how bad are the Gummies. Here is a chance for the Broncos to rejuvenate their season , at least for a week. The less said about the side that the Sharks have to field because of the salary cap, that sends half the fair dinkum first graders overseas but if the players are not putting enough bums on seats to pay the bills, they cannot increase the salary cap and if the NRL expect people to come and watch the footy, they cant field second raters, the answer, A bowl of Goldfish, exactly who the Broncos are playing!

Ratings.....Broncos by 20.5. For the margins Broncos 13+

Hey hog does your ratings take into account a team's momentum? i.e. how they have been going the last fews weeks? Or is it just purely player ratings based

Hi Panther,

My game ratings are based on a formulae I have been tweaking for the last 10 years.

To answer your question, there are several parts of my formulae that consider everything, well that I can think of.

Let me do all the hard work and keep the faith..

Best of luck Hog, but in all honesty betting so many games and having them in multis, youre not going to win in the long run and thats a fact.

Peanuts....

Geez Manly played poorly...at the end of the first half I had a terrible feeling they were Gone...if anything hopefully T Williams will finally get punted. He is the worst winger in the comp.

C'Mon Parra and the Tigs...

yeah when he played for parra I thought he was a dud. don't know what anyone saw in him. well size and a bit of speed I guess but what's the point if you're out of position all the time and can't catch?

Another great Sunday, I have not missed a winner on a Sunday since I started tipping on this site....that's 9 from 9.

If the Broncos can perform Monday, I will get 7 from 8, great recovery after last week.

Also missed the score marings by .5 on the Storm and Tigs...hard when they can't score .5 of a point..

Round 23 is looking to be another great opportunity to take some cash.
