Looks like Sloan could come back next week into first grade against the Storm -

"SLOAN CALL EXPOSES DRAGONS’ GLARING PROBLEM

Dragons coach Shane Flanagan made the shock call to drop Tyrell Sloan for last Sunday’s clash with the Panthers — but he may be forced to recall him a week later.

With Sloan relegated to New South Wales Cup, Mat Feagai was called on to play at the back but he was wiped out 21 minutes into the game due to a head knock.

Feagai failed his HIA but was deemed to be displaying category two symptoms, which means he’s still a chance of being named for the Dragons’ Round 22 clash with the Storm.

If, however, Feagai is sidelined, Sloan will be parachuted straight back into the No.1 jersey after a dominant performance in Cup where he finished with a try, a linebreak, two linebreak assists, seven tackle busts and 223 running metres.

It was a bold call from Flanagan to drop Sloan in the first place given his lack of options to replace him. Feagai had played 10 NSW Cup games at fullback prior to his promotion — but only out of necessity because of the lack of depth in that position at the club.

The situation has shone a spotlight on the one position Flanagan desperately needs to bolster next season for two reasons — genuine depth and to create healthy competition for the No.1 jersey.

A report emerged over the weekend linking Valentine Holmes to the Dragons after the Origin star was given permission by the Cowboys to test his value on the open market.

Holmes has played a total of 67 NRL games at fullback, but the last time he lined up there was in 2021.

It wouldn’t be an immediate fix though given Holmes is still signed to the Cowboys until the end of 2025.

Blaize Talagi could, however, be an immediate option should the 19-year-old knock back the option in his favour at the Eels for next season. The Dragons are reportedly chasing his signature."

So with him admitting it, what will he do about it? Bugger all I suspect. He is his own man. I was going to say that he should look at how the other half backs do it. Surely he could at least look at a guy like Jahrome Hughes and see how he goes about his kicking game. There are many half backs icing their kicks. Look at Jamie Sowards highlights as well. Flanno has got to get him kicking, kicking, kicking on all training days and on other days until he gets it right.
Why not get sowie to show him at training

Exactly, why not? Good point qld redvee. But do you think that Hunt would lower himself to learn from Sowie. As I said, Hunt is his own man. He admits to being shit with his kicking game lately and he thinks that he himself will fix it, the stubborn mule.

I'm banking on him being shit in the Storm game and if Marschke is free from injury for the game against the Dogs, then he could be demoted. I doubt it though 100%.

I know this is a thread on the Storm game, but the game against the Bulldogs we have got to win that. I just hate them Dogs especially when they are hot. Boy I hate them. Have I said that I hate the Bulldogs? My sister and her son follow the Dogs like crazy. Her son even flew up from Sydney to Brisbane to watch the Dogs thrash the Broncos at Suncorp, that's how much he loves them, bastardo.

I don't see us winning that game as well blacksafake, just wishful thinking. The Dogs have more reasons to win the game and to win most of their remaining games to make the top 4.

We on the other hand are likely to be looking at next year because I really can't see us making finals this year. Maybe a couple of wins before the cue is put into the rack and the guys will have their mad Monday fling and then take a break before the pre-season starts.
