Round 22 vs Bulldogs Discussion & Voting

I used to feel the same way about the relentless assault on Peter Wallace. I've been pleased to be somewhat vindicated about that one :)

Peter Wallace got bagged because he was playing poorly in his last 2 years at the Broncos. Good on him if he is going well at the Panthers but I would rather have Ben Hunt any day.

Speaking of Hunt looks like he has got his head around Hooks departure and is back to playing footy again.

Reynolds is the dirtiest merkin ever to play the game

Wow I am very impressed!

Game of two 'halves' Ben Hunt blitzes them while Josh Reynolds trips them. Completely outplayed them with a bit of a nudge from the refs, but fortune favoured the bold here. This performance must make the boys feel so good. Why can't we see it every week!?

2 Barba
1 McGuire

So happy with this win! Need to really take it to the bunnies next week in another must win. They also looked strong tonight.

That's more like it.

I've yet to see the full game but judging from the highlights I noticed a lot more support around the ball and players playing for one another.

A tinge of luck to our play but fortune always favours the brave. Lord knows Alfie was the king of creating lucky bounces or deflections.

The Bulldog and Souths are similar sorts of teams, huge packs who will no doubt look to slow the ruck down to suit them

I think Souths have a touch more class on the edges and won't be coughing up the ball as easy as the Bulldogs did last night

Souths actually gave away a lot of possession last night. Manly had their chances to take that game, but they were outclassed in the final stages and south ran away with it.

I think we need to see next week as the grand final tester for the Bronx. Come away with a win; and we are a good chance. -Lose; and it proves we're not good enough this year to deserve a premiership anyway.

Hoping warriors, storm and eels go down to weekend though so we can stay in the 8...

That was an amazing game from the Broncos. Bulldogs came out hard and came to play. The Broncos kind of weathered the storm then dominated the rest of the game apart from a small period after half time.

The one (and mainly only) difference to the 2013 Broncos is that we now have the ability to turn on our attack every now and again. And that is mostly due to Ben Hunt. Although it was great to finally have Barba give a big contribution to this. That was Barba's best game. I've said this a couple of time over the last few weeks so he must be seriously on the improve.

Barba is definitely improving and the switch to five eighth has done him and the team a world of good. He's handed the defensive role pretty well and is growing with confidence in attack. The more he plays there the better he'll get

Support play was the big improvement on Friday night (just watched the game now) - just bodies in motion both around the play the ball area, and out wide.

Our forward were hitting the ball at pace, and changing the angles consistently. This was the obvious game plan against the bigger Bulldogs pack, but hey, it would probably work better against all teams as well instead of the one-out football we've played most of the year.

It seems Hunt and Barba have sorted themselves out. Barba was previously roving on each side of the field, but tonight it was Hunt on the right and Barba on the left for most of the time (although Hunt made two or thee brakes on the left hand side).

Griffin seems to have lifted the shackles - even Hoffman slipped a couple of brilliant passes tonight.

Special mention to Thaiday's acting ability (helped by Reynolds girly kick) - an Academy Award to Sammy for changing the course of the game.

Great to get this unexpected win! Saw this one from the 48th minute on, just as a bulldog brushed thru Gilletts lack of defence. Gets me how the guys a powerhouse most of the time with the ball but so slack or is that lazy in defence. Hoffman and Barba slotting in well and great sustained defence and all round team effort from us and with some smart kicking.

Anyway hard to predict who'll turn up Thursday night but should be a hoot. Hopefully we can get 2 in a row. No high balls for the man mountain just lots of grubbers for GI fumble fingers.

We looked and played like a football team. A solid performance from everyone. No absolute stand-outs, but more importantly no weak links. I don't know if Souths will allow us to play that well next week but it will be a good test. Reynolds is a dirty merkin and I hope they don't let him off like they did after Origin 1. I'd like to see him ruled out for the rest of the season and with that go the dogs hopes of making the finals leaving a spot for us to sneak in. Go Broncs!!

. Pretty much this. It would be poetic justice at its finest.

I (and any other Broncos fan) should put together their 3-2-1s for GTB who's doing an awesome job round these parts.
