So we replace Saab with Lomax .... Lomax isnt a winger full stop supercoach is leaning towards him as fullback SO as we are now looking to finish well and lay a foundation for season 2020 ( my words ) why not play your perceived 2020 fullback in that position not wing ... yet another selection classic Plus I have NO faith in the Aitken and Lomax defence on this side of the field so could get scary for us out there. Its really pitiful that we have no upcoming centre in CC that can put any sort of pressure on lafai aitken we are stuck with this dynamic duo until we manage to sign 2 better options ( maranta is not 1 of them ) Lets see how mwny minutes LAts is given for his farewell to shark park Whats the bet Lomax and Ford are being prepared to be thrown under the bus if tomorrow goes pear shaped !! Our forwards are going to have to play like superheroes ALL game but where theres hope go the dragons

I’m going to the tits game in the final round. Spending two nights up there. I only live an hour south of the Gold Coast. Still I want them to win so it all seems worth it. Don’t want the spoon. I hope we win every last game remaining.

McGregor asked the question about blooding Sailor and Timm in thr coaches preview. Completely ignored the Timm comment and went straight to say Kerr was next in line. Said something like he will look at performances in Cc and Kerr was performing well and has a bright future with us.

So Timm is definitely on the outer with this peanut as coach.

Sadly 100 % correct.

Who said that Paul McGregor (brought to you courtesy of the SGI Board) can't deliver the excitement at the end of the season. The race for the 15th is on!

Wooden spoon probably out of contention with Titans loss to Para.

Bulldogs move up but like I said before, the Cowboys are now sitting in the Dragon's rightful position.

Go Sharks for the for/against.

Can someone , anyone (except Mary ) explain how Latimore ( who seems to be getting less and less minutes ) and Kaufusi ( who has now two injured knees ) are playing in front of Timms & Kerr ??????
Do you need this explained to you?????????

Really thought was scoring a couple of tries and looking a good prospect good thing we dropped him...
Latimore really looks to be playing for a farewell better give it to him...
Kaufusi looks set to be the next bandage bear better play him...
Timms looking amazing to rival clubs ...
Kerr in the same boat

We ain't going to win anything with this bloke in charge , so for me I just want the team to keep getting hammered this year and next .... Never thought I'd ever be be hoping to lose games , but if it continues into next year they might cut his 2 year extension ..... The thought of another 2 years under this Muppet makes me sick .....

Their season is over and with no chance of a finals appearance, the St George Illawarra Dragons are now hoping to debut a future superstar in the coming weeks in Tristan Sailor.

The 21-year old son of dual-international Wendell Sailor has been plying his trade in NSW Cup this season and has been the Dragons 18th man in recent weeks.

McGregor admitted on Thursday that they are hoping to get some first grade football under Sailor's belt in the next month, as well as some other guys who are knocking on the door.

MORE: Bellamy hits back at Rabbitohs criticism

"With Tristan, he's been that 18th man for the last three or four weeks and jumped a few players that have been in that position and have played first grade," he said.

"He needs to hold that form in reserve grade, he's certainly a guy that I feel has a bright future because of the way he approaches training each day.

"We're hoping to get some footy into Tristan before the end of the year if the position opens up.

"We've used a fair few this year. If their form warrants it in reserve grade than yes.

"Josh Kerr is probably the next forward to come back in, and we feel he's got a bright future."

The utility back has been a standout coming through the junior ranks, representing Queensland at the U20s level on two occasions and is gifted with raw speed and some of his father's natural footballing ability.

Sailor has scored 8 tries in reserve grade for the Red V this season to go along with 7 linebreaks and 6 try assists.

MORE: Barrett to return to NRL coaching

McGregor also touched on the local derby clash with the Cronulla Sharks on Sunday afternoon, and why the match against their fierce rivals will give his struggling side some extra motivation.

"Form goes out the window when these two teams clash," he said.

"It's important that we become the finals spoilers for the last month of footy. They'll need to win three of their next four.

"This one has a little bit more feel to it. Even the game we played here against them this year we were down to 14 men after half time and they got us at the back end.

"It's always a real, tough grind of a game. This weekend will be no different."

The Dragons sit in 14th position on the NRL ladder heading into Round 22, while the 9th-placed Sharks are fighting hard for a finals berth in 2019.
