Round 22 vs. Warriors Discussion + Voting

It makes sense to move Thaiday up to prop in order to give Gillett more game time, but I think he's going great guns in the back row. Maybe Hook should consider starting with Gillett with Glenn on the bench. i'm a fan of Glenn's too but i just think Gillett needs more opportunity. We don't want him shopping around (regardless of his contract situation as we all know how binding they are)...

Ground it out for a win........exciting finish.

It's hard to be too critical of the boys on Saturday night. I can understand the "slight" critic on Gillett. His defence did miss the mark up the middle a few times. He wasn't alone though. We seemed to allow the Warriors too many easy metres for alot of the match.

Best game I've seen from Josh McGuire .........outstanding.

Thaiday then Gillett and Parker were the next best in the forwards. Thought Glenn was quiet. Teo just finding his feet. He looked knackered towards the end of the game.

All the backs played well. Lockyer I agree whilst maybe not in career best form, is not that far away from it. He's coming up with the odd error but his play making decisions and execution still more than makes up for it. Nice field goal from Wallace. Yes..... Peter was taking on the line. That's no good though when you've got a 4 on 2 situation and the decision required demands that he passes the ball. Missed opportunities like this will be killers against teams like Melbourne and Manly. The pick of the rest for me was Jack Reed. Great game.........although again, his defence on our try line needs to be looked at, re: Berrigan's try.

Weak links in the forward pack. Anderson (although I thought he had one of his better games) and Hunt.

I have been saying and agree with others to move Thaiday into the front row and get Gillett into the 2nd row in the run on side.

Hunt still adds nothing. He probably should be alternated with Baptiste week to week or fortnight to fortnight as the replacement for Mc. It would be better for Hunt's long term game to be playing more in the QLD cup in his favoured position.

Sounds as if Hannant will miss the Cows game. Big loss

I don't like Carlaw......but apparently he's tearing them up in the lower grade. Bring him in and let's hope he can stand up and be counted.

Don't see any reason to change the back line.

I'd like Carlaw over Kenny. Kenny is a f**king marshmallow when he hits up. Carlaw at least has a big strong stride and tackles round the legs very well.

Gillett is definitely best in the 2nd row. Thaiday back to prop? I'm liking his work on the right with room to move though

Yes. No. Yes, he is damaging on the right edge and has a great combination with Lockyer there. Plus his balls skills are great especially close to the line.

Great game by McGuire, he really stepped up and showed what he can do. Someone aleady mentioned he made no errors and didnt give away penalties which was good.
I noticed an incident in approx 73rd minuted when Mcquire tackled Mateo. Mateo held Josh down in a headlock trying to milk a penalty, and then got up and threw a punch. Josh just got on with the game, whereas a year ago he would have retaliated.

Apart from the feeble tackel attempt that let Johnson break, I dont have much to complain about. was a tough game and we did well. We contained Mateo and Vatuvei very well. keeping Mateo to zero offloads was a great achievement.

Carlaw had a good game against the cutters this week. Pretty Strong in defence and scored a good try on the cutters line in the second half. I would be happy to see him in over Kenny.

I finally got to watch this game tonight and man... Awful refs, woeful commentator but GREAT GAME!

I think against the Warriors it's always going to be messy at times as they are kings of splitting up the rucks. Great to see Teo back, Gillet I think is a bench player because of his diversity and impact! When Hoffman runs he needs a couple of support player to run with him! -He has potential try written all over him but it seems like when he gets the ball Broncos go on a coffee break and come back on 20-40 metres better off.

Lockyer had a great game as usual, and Wallace -besides not really paying attention to the chargers pressuring his kicks (which Loky used to punish SO WELL) he had a very good game and is doing what I want to see him do more!

One of McGuires best games easily. Beale really needs to put his body into defense more and commit to players -Berrigan's try could have been stopped! -I'm sure he'll improve. Hodges also doing amazing things and was a real pity that pass went a nose forward. Jack Reed actually doing pretty amazing things and I think he is my favourite player. Hunt had a better game tonight. Parker seriously needs to practice his kicking! other than that he is rock solid.

That's my report card for tonight. Warriors actually would be so very good if they were a little better coached. They seem really panicy at times and better teams punish them!
