A good crowd considering it was the MNF game. Happy to see the win, and it now means the only team I have NOT seen the Knights beat live is the f**king Dragons....

It was a fairly boring game from a neutral perspective, we were clinical the whole way through, Cronulla (from my own count) only mounted about two series challenges where they looked like scoring, and the one time they did score was off a scrum feed.

Manly next weekend is a much bigger test, they will still be butthurt after the flogging we gave them a month or so back. The boys will need to cut out some of those inexcusable fumbles from tonight it they want to get the points, and Derpvale isn't an easy ground to win at for away teams...

I've watched our team for a while now (every game since around 2003) and this is the first time (the last couple of weeks) that we look like a dominate. We've had times where Joey carried ua with his godlike performances and we've also had days where everything fell away and we managed to put 50 on teams but never have we looked so good.

Mullen has improved outta sight. I didn't get to watch the whole game but jeez was Mullen dominate. He made line breaks, kicking like a boss, great defence and gave some great balls to our outside backs. I'm gonna say it: he finally showing his potential. He is so good to watch these days.

Mason and Gagai and Boyd have to be the best buys the club has ever made. Mason wow... Gagai has it all; attack, defence, those kick chases... Amazing...

Boyd is finally the Boyd we bought, not that mouse back in the early rounds.

If we make the top 8, i'm gonna call it, Knights for the Premiership.

We don't look as slick as the storm when they are at their peak, we won't bully other packs like the Seaeagles and the Doggies are on fire but jeez we look the goods.

A bit over the top i think. We are playing well but have been given two big reality checks in the past 5 weeks by Souths and the Dogs that we're still a far bit off in 2012.

Since 2003? I recall the start of our 2006 season as been far more dominant then anything we are producing at the moment. We were putting scores of 54, 46, 70 within a months time. We had a top of the table clash with the dogs and were leading 46-0 after 50 minutes. We were just playing the most sublime attacking footy i've ever seen.

That was when Joey, Bedsy and Milton were carving up. Good times.

Anyone else remember that game against the cows in 2003 where we lead 48-0 at halftime? That still has to be a record for halftime score and possibly most points in a half?

From memory BK scored in the first minute and it never stopped, we just rolled through a try every 2nd set of six for 40 minutes. Finished 60-24 after we benched Joey, Bedsy and BK with 20 minutes to go.

I'd agree with that assessment on 2006. The only big loss we had in the first half of the year was the game in Melbourne. I've watched the big win against the Dragons about 20 times since.

I know Yosh mentioned 2003 and onwards, however, 2002 we were incredible.

Won our first 6 and 14 of our first 17.

Lost to Brisbane by a try, the warriors and tigers without our origin players and a halves combination of James Wynne and Sean Rudder.

Yes...... The dreaded Sunday channel 9 replay. They really give it the Dairy Farmers treatment dont they. No half time break and they still milk it for 2 hours. Sometimes the ads go for so long I start doing something else and forget about the f#cker.

Worst televised game of the week by far. Hate it when the knights play the c#%t.

Totally agree. I refuse to watch it. Just get the live updates from LU.

Personally I think the 2nd Friday game is worse but both shit me

Get Foxtel IQ or a DVR fellas. Record the game while you do something else (stay away from the interwebs and the phone if you have mates who like to message you about the footy) and revel in the glorious invention that is the fast forward button :D

A good win, possibly our best all year considering the circumstances.

Some musings:

* My wife saw Bedsy and said: "He looks like he is making his debut again". I have to agree. Many of us feared he would struggle as the season went on, but like a true professional he has got better and better. Certainly looked old in the pre-season, but looks like a world beater now.

* Darbs. Love seeing this man play this way. Good to see the fans getting behind him now, rather than on his back.

* Our backrow. Strong, hard working guys. McKinnon and House are incredible. They both are able to read the game well, and change their defensive positioning as required. I know McKinnon is on the left and House on the right, but they both found themselves in the middle, or on the opposite side on occasion, and the defense flowed like there was no change.

* Mullo. Confidence thing???? Thats what everyone says? No confidence in himself? Bullshit! He struggles with letting go, basically confidence in his team mates more than himself.
To be fair to Mullo, the only difference in his game tonight to that of the past few months was the running game. Those praising him for his kicking and passing dont pay attention.

* Mason on report. Probably rightly so, but Smith should have been on report also. Whilst Willie made some contact with his chest on Robson, the only reason Smith wasnt penalised is because Ty had the awareness to protect his head from a swinging elbow. Interesting place RL is in. It is only a penalty if you make contact.....

* Bench play. We really only have 2 weaknesses in our team. No replacement hooker (Costigan is servicable if he just picks up the ball and passes it) and Zane. I hate to say it, but the kid could be a liability. The game seems to fast for him in defense.
Other than these 2, the bench is doing a fantastic job.

Agree mate. I thought Zane would kick on with some more FG exposure but he seems to just be falling further behind with each game he plays. His work at marker is the most glaring flaw, he seems to be lost as to where he needs to be positioned and how to read the attack

Anybody think Big Willy has anything to worry about?

I thought putting him on report was a bit overzealous

Did the Knights warm up on the field before the game? Just saw the highlights and it looked like they did.

No they didn't

Yes they did the commentators were talking about the Knights being out warming up on the field in the normal way whilst the sharks were having a "team meeting" in the dressing rooms followed by an intense warmup in the dressing room and then a quick warm up on the field. You could see the Knights warming up on the field as they spoke about it. So I'm not sure why Ian is saying they never?

I was just interested because I know Wayne is a fan of running out to the crowd without a on field warm up first. Someone asked the question a few weeks ago (might have been in one of those Knights insider interviews) about this suggesting warming up would help with the slow starts.

Would be interested to know why the change of routine and if it was to combat the slow starts.
