Round 23 v Knights

The changes I would make are:

RCG (if fit) in for Leota.
TMM in for Hardaker.

TMM to come off the bench and play 20-30 mins at 5/8 with Cartwright moving back to the second row.

Playing Newcastle is like playing a NSW CUP team.

TMM should get 80 in, i am hoping so anyways.

God I hope the team doesn't think like this - We've been guilty of playing down to our opposition level in the past.

But in all honesty, without to much disrespect to Newcastle, their team would not push the top 8 in NSW CUP.

But i agree we have a history of playing down to a lesser level against a team like this. I hope they treat the game like a semi.

Clearly we don't think too much of the Knights seeing this game is Round 23 not 22. Anyway its TMM's best chance to return, if he doesn't I doubt he does until we lose.

HA I didn't even notice that

Only change I'd make, is dropping Hardraker off the bench for TMM - That, however, might not be the best option, given match fitness, confidence etc, but I think he'd do well with the game time - Carty can move back into the 2nd row or have a spell if needed.

If he doesn't look confident in NSW cup yet he wont be brought up FG yet and rightly so. Same team but bring RCG in off the bench.

RCG will certainly come straight back in, if fit, but TMM will be consigned to NSW Cup for the time being in my opinion.

Based on what I have just read in the other thread, this place will go into melt down if Carty is named at 5/8 when the team is announced!!!

By all reports TMM hasn't been setting the world on fire in NSW cup so I think Hook will keep him there for the moment. Anyone know if we picked up any injuries last night that will rule anyone out for this weekend?

Edit: I just saw the comment about Akauola's rib injury.

Only likely change is Matagi in for Akuoala other than that expecting no other changes. RCG more likely v Tigers and TMM may need more NSW Cup game time, this game however would be the easiest to bring him in for.

Think Akauola had rib injury, but haven't heard how bad.

Moylan sounds like he is all sweet for the weekend.

If we're serious we put Newcastle to the sword this game. How many times have we we seen the team try to walk it in against somewhat weaker opposition? How hasn't the team learnt that they can't expect to do this?
