Round 23 vs Cowboys

Can't see them going past Naiqama.

With NSW Cup have the bye and having the minor premiership wrapped up, and NYC fighting to stay in the 8, DWZ, Blake and Moseley will all stay in NYC until they're knocked out IMO. I reckon Yeo would have dropped back to NYC too had Taylor and Carty not gone down.

Plus I think Naiqama has outperformed DWZ in just about every area this year at NRL level.

Looking forward to the game, got my tickets, knocking off early to travel across the mountains. Hoping we can secure our spot in the 4 with a good win!

He's been the most disappointing signing in a long time and was terrible in the Sharks game. DWZ needs experience with the big boys and I don't give a stuff about the 20's

There's an article about Tim on NRL.com. It's a bit of a puff piece, but he seems fired up for a big finish with us.

Thanks Daz.
The Grant piece was a bit of a wank but the quotes from Grant show a pretty good attitude and I'm pretty hopeful he can help us over the next few weeks.
The one thing that worries me is where he says he understands Cleary's reasoning for leaving him in reggies as there are 4 props in great form. Hopefully he was just trying to deflect the Cleary/Grant rift business and they don't really consider our props contributions as sufficient.

He was told you will never play 1st grade at Penrith again. It's a simple as that but he and the coach need to put that behind them for the next month or so then never speak again

I have no doubt that if say just Kite was out Manu would be moved to prop. Whether Cleary thinks his a knob or not doesn't matter we are trying to win a comp here.

Confirmed that Robert Jennings and Christian Crichton have their GIO Schoolboy Cup QF next Tuesday at Sportingbet Stadium.

In regards to Tim Grant, I think he realises that you have few opertunities to win a grand final. We are in a very good position at the moment and if we can make the top 4 then anything is possible.

A first grade career may last 10 years. If you are lucky you make 5 finals. Of those finals maybe get to the grand final 2 or 3 times. I think Tim sees this as one of those chances and doesn't want to miss it.

Not sure what our top 25 is as the site only lists 20.
Players from outside that 20 that have played this year include John, Yeo, Cartwright, DWZ, Naiqama and Smith. That's only 35 odd games and I'd say a couple of John, Cartwright, DWZ and Naiqama would be top 25.
The second tier cap went up as well. We have nowhere near the amount of injuries we had last year. Not sure if Roberts leaving helps at all.

I think we'd be ok to debut a guy still but doubt it'll happen.

Rumour has it the playing group would rather have had Anderson brought into the team over Grant but the second tier excuse was used again. Seems to raise it's head when convenient. Anderson is in discussions with the club trying to renew his contract for another season. There is no harder worker in our cup side and he deserves a decent shot at NRL next year,he's still only 23 and has been our best again in the pack this year, including when TG was in the team.

Peachey,
Cartwright,
Taylor
Kite all aren't coming back we have no problem playing any forward we want in the side

Surely we'd be wrapping up Anderson. With Grant and Anderson gone we'd be left with a rookie, Latimore, a second rower and two blokes who are past their best and likely to miss a fair bit of football.
