i love that we have the same team each week.
such that we dont even have the speculation of the next team thread anymore

its been such a long time since this has really happened.
otherwise its usually a negative thing, "oh the coach doesnt have the stones to change this crappy team"
now its just a good thing that it happens.

Was thinking the same thing. Even the "copy ----> paste" hasn't gotten a run anymore

The next day the Courier Mail tried to claim that the match was "proof" that Lockyer> Johns.

That'd be right. As RABK said though, compare the cattle the two had to work with. Not even in the same planet. And without Buderus and Simpson, easily our two best forwards, it was always going to be ugly.

Looking back, it is a miracle we finished 4th with that squad.

Just out of curiosity why are we looking back at a game in 2006 we got belted in rather than forward to our biggest game of the season to date?

 That's true. If anything we should be talking about the Manly game from the week before. One of my favourite ever Knights games.

Yeah this weekend, we are up against it obviously. You get the feeling that Manly are getting their best troops back on deck and looking to peak at the right time of the season.

Much like the Sharks game, if our forwards can go with theirs and our defence is solid, we have the outside backs to score enough points IMO.

Also, I love a good stat although this one doesn't make for pretty reading ...

Our record at Brookvale is the worst out of any venue in the NRL. We've only won two games out of 12 at an average score of 29-16. Keep in mind we won one 50-16 way back in 1998...

I assume our 2 wins last year and this year in Canberra is what has lifted that from our worst venue?

Yeah, our winning % down there still isn't great at 23.68 (4/19 including a draw), but Brookvale is only 16.67.

Knights also won 30-16 in a FNF game there back in 2006- a good night that was, never mind my mate driving on the wrong side of the road on the way home!

Keeping in mind that a few Manly home games against us have been played in Gosford....

26-12 actually :p

And yeah I know we've played them at Gosford, but we're 2/12 at Brookvale.

With Manly at full strength, I think they might be out to prove a point! Lets not get carried away Manly are a much better team than Cronulla who were woeful on Monday night. We will need to play smart to get over Manly. So lets hope a few players step up to the mark!! Costigan worries me big time!! Even Uate can have his moments! Good Luck.

I went back to a great game we won against Manly then the others turned it into our diabolical loss to the scummy Broncos the week after!

Wayne will have some master game plan up his sleeve. We are gonna need to come up with some tricky shit if we are a chance.

Just need to do what we did last time, and be much better than them at rugby league.
