I might be going against the grain here but i've made no secret of the fact that Manly have been my second side since about 2004. I do hope they go B2B as i hate the Bulldogs, Souths and Melbourne. Cowboys or Manly would be good, Sharkies would be great but much more unlikely.

I hope you are right but I'm not sure he is enough to make a difference, the cattle around him is still poor.

Plus there is a question mark over his durability, he has missed a number of games over the last few years.

Look at Manlys roster vs. ours, both at the same spending level. We have limited quality and plenty of average players on above average money.

This second half will be telling. Manly are on fire, although it was who gave them the matches and paper, but if we dig in and keep Manly to less than 50 and put in a couple of our own then perhaps we might provide some resistance to Cowboys and Souths.

If we get done by 60+ here then i'd be very surprised if we don't lose 3 in a row to finish our season.

I don't think across the board we can't match Manly at our best. They are a great side, but we belted them only 5 weeks ago. Today it just been their day and a lot of our players haven't turned up.

I'm not ready to blow up about the quality of our roster - it's nearly there in terms of quality. I think a top half and prop for 2014 and we're there. However I am ready to blow up about brain explosions and poor defence though - doesn't matter if you're 17 internationals strong if you're shirt grabbing and putting balls out on the full at brookvale oval.
