I actually think Lussick has played quite a few good games for us, interrupted by injury, suspension and, of course, some poor ones. He is an easy and popular target. The fact that we paid too much for him is not his fault, but people don't seem to get that.

He's been a fantastic tackler for us. But his positioning in defence and up until the past 2 games his attack has been non-existent. Can't wait to see him in a manly jersey next year.

I dunno. He's making 2.4m for every minute he's on the field, which is exactly what Jnr Paulo has made this year. Mannah makes just a little more (2.6).

I don't think his attack is that bad in absolute terms. It's just not good value relative to what we paid him....but they are separate issues.

He wasnt showing us... he was showing the Brookvale crowd for next year.

I too reckon it was by far his best game in two years. I have been very dissappointed with this guy and was really surprised when he put in for this game. Silly old Gazza. I think you have nailed the reason for his recent effort MJC.

I haven't minded him so much either, he's got a bit of sting about him, which we've lacked for a few years, though next year is looking better in that area. We paid we we had to at the time, it happens.

He's an easy target. He's been my target at times. He just looks like a plodder. And he seems to give away stupid penalties. And he's over-paid. So, on a value basis, he's shit, but he's actually a decent player. Just not on the stupid money our club seems prepared to pay him.

Agree with all of this (the dumb penalties are what irks me about him). My point, I guess, is that a lot of people can't seem to separate the two issues: 1) is he a decent NRL player? and 2) is he worth what we paid for him? He's a starting NRL prop for about half the teams in the comp IMHO. We signed him at a time where we were pretty desperate.

Very lazy in defence until the Manly game. Almost as slow as Joe Paulo getting off the ground. Good luck Manly. Im glad hes going. Obviously BA isnt a fan either.

Or, BA wants to spend the money that Lussick was asking for a new contract on other areas of the team? Doesn't mean he is not a fan. Sensible team building. We bought Lussick when we were desperately short of forwards and props in particular. We're not now.

I dont disagree although Arthur must feel Scott is a better investment than Lussick. Seems Parra have more back rowers than front rowers but this didnt stop his preference for Scott over Lussick.

Congrats to him - I think next year will be HUGE for him, having Beau Scott to mentor him.
Part of me would like him to be our starter on the left edge, but then why break up that lethal attacking edge?

With the hoppa issue not yet resolved, is there maybe a chance Scott could be filling in at centre ?
