Match Summary
The Brisbane Broncos have defeated a totally inept Canberra Raiders side 30-19 at Suncorp Stadium this afternoon.
Brisbane were far from convincing in every aspect, but with the assistance of the video ref and the sheer stupidity of the Canberra Raiders, they have won and kept their finals hopes alive.
The Raiders failed to overcome the power of the video ref when Todd Carney was disallowed a fair try and then the video ref allowed a try to Brisbane’s Steve Michael’s when he clearly did not have control of the ball.
Apart from the incompetence from the officials, Canberra were their own worst enemy, giving away stupid penalties, losing scrums against the feed and their ball handling was atrocious.
Only Neville Costigan showed any sign of resistance, having a superb game against his old club but he was given little support by his team mates, especially Todd Carney, was refused to run with the ball against the big Broncos forwards and his reluctance to get involved cost the Raiders dearly in the end.
That was enough for the Raiders to drop their bundle and the Broncos put the game away with tries to Parker, Thorn and Tonie Caroll to keep their finals hopes alive.
Five Broncos players were playing their final home game for the club and they were sent off Suncorp Staodium as winners with Thorn, Tate, Berrigan, Carlaw and Civoniciva all leaving the Broncos at seasons end.

Bahahahaha.
More like what an inept piece of writing. What a bunch of absolute one eyed trash. It's nearly as good as the 2005 write up where it was the video ref's fault Frawley didn't ground the ball.
