Woah what happened here...
Anyway I'd go Idris to back row and Blake in, but Simpkins will likely come in. VTK could be a crack.
Or go DWZ to fullback, Simmons wing, Smith centre, Moylan halves, Idris back row..
DWZ at fullback or not in first grade. Keep him away from the sidelines.

Our wingers were ridiculously stupid today. So much talent between them, yet the most basic of winger duties eludes them both. Hold onto the ball and don't go over the sideline (basic duties for any position really).

Warriors are a hot attacking side that would punish us for those stupid mistakes. But they're also a side who we could punish if we got the same opportunities we did against Sea Eagles early on.

I expect us to make the stupid first tackles mistakes again and have the Warriors thump us though. For weeks now we have been doing it, and only lately have we been punished for it. We just can't defend when it really matters. But with the amount of players missing, it's no surprise our defence is not at the level it was earlier in the year.

Warriors are a hot attacking side at Mt Smart when playing tackle shy oppositions. Away from Mt Smart they have won 4 from 11. I don't think we've got too much to worry about if we play our normal game.

not to be selfish here but please chicko play next week :)

I must say if we moved Moylan to 6 this year - wrong move, he just seems to be getting better every week, I don't think our other options at FB will be at Mr Clutch's standard.

He should do given he was heading back for this game but was delayed by the volcano. He'll be a huge boost.
I think we'll be able to grind the Warriors out of it.

Good effort from the guys. I said to my wife 10 minutes from time (even before we kicked the FG) that 7 points wouldn't be enough. At end of the day we should have won being 7 up in the 73rd minute but it wasn't to be.

The only bone I have to pick is the stoppages of the clock when the game is on the line. If the clock doesn't get stopped for the dropout and for the kickoff we win the game. Conversely if it was time out after every single try throughout the game and for every drop out then we probably get another set. Anyway it needs to be all or nothing, 80 minutes actual (time out for all stoppages) or just 80 minutes (time out only for injuries) so there is consistency and none of this picking and choosing the stoppages in play as it is now.

Moseley had a terrific debut. Makes the signing of korisau even stranger.

10 weeks ago Moseley was homesick and was off to the Cowboys. I think we were told he didn't want to stay since then has signed for 2 years.

I know Mansour does good things. He seems to have his worst game when we play good teams.

Again our defence was good but too many errors and Penalties killed us. Luckily NSW Cup has plenty of players ready to step in for Docker's coming suspension

Because Manly were the worst I've seen them in years and we kept dropping the ball and giving away penalties (neither of which has anything to do with missing players) and then we fell over at the end.

Docker is not first grade standard. We'll only miss him because all our better players in his position are already out.

Manly played terrible because we forced them too. We came off our line, jammed in, we hit hard and ran hard. They were rattled. In the end their experience won them the game but we were comfortably the better team for 70 mins.

We play like we did yesterday and we'll win on Sunday night and we'll give the finals a real shake. We'll need to improve to win the thing, but given the current circumstances to go as far as we have and outplay the best team in the comp on their own patch is a terrific effort. But I understand how the internet works, every forum has it's heroes who take pride in being negative because that some how makes them more realistic than any other supporter?

I don't get your Docker comment? Soooo you're saying we will miss him? Which is what I said.

Pretty sure the rules now say that stopping the clock is mandatory after a try once there is less than x minutes (not sure how many) to full time. Before that there is no time off allowed following a try (unless the ref is cautioning somebody or some other unusual event that coincides with the try being scored).

So, while it is not ideal it is also not a "picking and choosing" situation.

the last 5 mins. If Manly needed the ball back you can bet the clock would of been stopped when the ref said

Best way to explain the Manly win yesterday would be what Shane Warne said to that Zimbabwean cricketer years ago when he got tonked for a 6.

That aside, once again, can't fault the effort. Ravaged by injury but just keep showing up and ripping in.

The clocking running on after the ref signals time off happens so often it is ridiculous.

I this case anyone trying to assert it cost us the game is a bit beyond sensible.

DWZ and Mansour's errors was what cost us the game.

20 odd secs is heaps of time these days though. short kick 2 tackles then a FG shot then who knows

Mansour's knock on ingoal was the turning point I feel. But you can't hold it against him, the ball bounced in an unexpected way and letting it go might have meant Manly got it. Just one of those things.

They made a lot of blues between them but both had decent games I feel.

Mansour knocking the grubber on cost us nothing. If he scored it Lyon doesn't put Sowie away the next set. Dumb penalties cost us.

Moreso the errors they made coming off our own line. We would hold Manly out then that. killed any momentum we could get

Penalties were the reason were got so tired, and fatigue was what lost us the game. Manly seem to get a better rub of the green than alot of sides at Brookie. Refs need to stop trying to be Hollywood directors seting up grandstand finishes, and ref what is happening in front of them. I hate the grubs.

Are you watching the same game as me . Docker makes takles that stops players. His defense is top of the NRL . He might not break the line but his effort in defense is top notch.

Agreed. I'm tipping the Docker knockers never played the game. Docker and Plum stop the go forward. He may not bust the line on a regular basis, but he is quite fast over 20m and generally gets a quick play he ball.

He just needs to control the aggression a bit and stop giving away penalties in the ruck. He reminds me of a smaller version of MG. I love watching him and Plummy.

He's a decent NRL player when he's on his game. An error, two penalties and 5 missed tackles is just unacceptable. If that's what he's going to dish up, his relative pluses do not make up. That is what he's been dishing up of late. If he can transform into a tight, hardworking, mistake free forward like Plum, he'll be an asset.

Agreed.
We bashed their forwards.
At least we showed we are a real semi final team.

Lets all get out to penrith park on sunday.

So you're saying if we were down 52-0 and scored a try with the less than x minutes remaining they would stop the clock? Horseshit they would!
