That's right. Kingston is responsible for how the rest of the team perform too.
Tom
Where did I blame Kingston for how the whole team performed? I believe the team performs better with Segeyaro starting and Kingston not in the team at all. Not all players play better or worse because of that change, but our spine operates a lot better and as a result we score more points and win more games.
That's not even taking into account that when Kingston was starting earlier in the year, we still had Segeyaro on the bench and we had almost our full roster to pick from. Segeyaro has gradually been part of a team that has gotten weaker each week, but our form hasn't really suffered because he can ignite our attack single handedly.
Our points scored and conceded also show it:
Kingston - 121 point for, 158 against over 9 games:
Average scoreline is Panthers losing 17.5 - 13.4
Segeyaro - 320 points for, 236 against over 13 games:
Average scoreline is Panthers winning 24.6 - 18.1
Obviously the roster has changed a lot in that time, and the quality of opposition varies and so on. But I think a total of 13 games and 9 games is a pretty good basis for comparison. I also think if anything Segeyaro has had the harder time with us playing more quality teams with a weakened roster.
