He wants to be the guy. No way he's happy with himself spinning in circles and walking across the field last week. He would've seen the video. I just think his ego won't let it happen twice.
Last week was one of the worst games I've ever seen from a good half. We had so much ball and territory.

Changes that needed to happen and hopefully they are final.

Laurie will find it hard to get back into the 17. Toelau is doing a good job in the 9 and he covers the halves which will be absolutely necessary with Cleary's fitness under the microscope.

Laurie is a 1 and possibly a 6 only

Then I'd be looking to keep Mav and get rid of Henry. The minutes just aren't there for 4 full time middles if Kenny is spending time there

Sorensen will get Geyer's spot. Henry/Smith have played out the whole year virtually. Considering they have both spent time in the backrow then I'd be surprised if Geyer held his spot when everyone is fit.

Ivan likely plays it out that way. Just the way I would go I just don't see how much time Henry gets

Who knows he might pull a swifty.

He hasn't been incredible but Geyer isn't doing a lot wrong either. That is better than a pass for a new player. I just wish we had him in firsts rather than Henry/Smith trying to play backrow off scrum plays against the Cowboys.

Following on from Team Selection I think before we break out into a ripping version of The Boys are Back In Town we need to admit that if we don’t beat Souths by 20+ at home we really are the pretenders not Thin Lizzy.

I don't think both are pretty much plodders.

Mav has covered centre and backrow

I don't trust Sorro's hammy

Given Kenny will stay on and switch to middle. Between that and Sorro you can cover the 20mins that middle gets.

It allows Mav to be the centre cover or cover Garner switching out there if needed

I think our best bench is Toelau, Leota (Smith start), Patea, Garner.

Toelau covers halves, hooker and spells Kenny who is better with 60 mins. Leota doesn’t deserve the start and offers more impact off the bench. Patea isn’t better than Henry but better fits the small minutes 4th middle role. Garner is your hacks cover and I’d to play bigger minutes than Sorro but like Sorro in the opening exchanges.

Henry will be in for Patea obviously which is fine.

these next 2 games Ivan should be ruthless and give more minutes to Smith/Henry if Leota isnt performing - id be ok with Leota starting from the bench

when he's on - he's a dawg like Fish, but we arent seeing that

Leota & Martin need big games this & next week - finals are here- tune up and get some form going

They need big games or we should shop them around while they are still worth big bucks

Patea would be in on my bench too.

Numbers for him back him as a better option for shorter stint

I'm liking what we have seen from him, probably not this year now, but I hope he is a regular next year.

Yeah seems close to what we lost in Spencer.

Don't get me wrong I have no issue with Henry. Just for me you start him and play him long minutes not off the bench in a 15min cameo.
