Brisbane have only made one change, Zach Koitka comes in for the injured Jerome Leedy. That means the side will include 11 players in their first year in the NYC.

Matthew Allwood and Uiti Baker return for Canberra this week. Young backrow Blake Seager will make his debut off the bench.

Frederick Robinson has been named in placed of Jay Bonnell for Canterbury.

No real changes to Cronulla.

No changes to Gold Coast.

Patrick Kennedy and Alex Mammone are set to make their debut for Manly off the bench.

No changes to Melbourne although Tohu Harris maybe playing NSW Cup this weekend for the Sharks.

Mann returns and Perkins has been named once again to make his debut.

Couple of changes at North Queensland. Young gun Kyle Feldt makes his return into the centres shifting Hancock into the backrow. Utility forward Tennyson Elliott comes in for Addul-Rahman at five eigth. Clifford Beetham is set to make his debut on a extended bench that includes John Puna and former schoolboy Anthony Gadd.

Former NSW rep. Frazer Masinamua returns for Parramatta this weekend.

Nick Walker has been named on the wing for Penrith ahead of Butler-Flemming.

Few changes out at St. George Illawarra. Nathan Green returns after making his FG debut. Sam Clune returns to NYC for the first time this season shifting Sultana out of halfback into hooker. Michael Bullock and Jordan Hay also make their returns in the second row and bench respectively while Luke Gallagher will make his debut off the bench.

No changes to Souths

Jordan Meads returns for the Warriors

Few changes for the Tigers. Badley Soe comes in for Koroibete, Brodie Monroe & Brendan Santi have been pushed into the starting line up to cover for Andrew Vela and Inno Inosesio with Jarrad Szczudlo, Jordan Marshall-King and Andy Fiagatusa named on an extended bench.

ROUND 3 GAME PREVIEW
The hard work is paying off for the NYC Hunter Ports Newcastle Knights.
Two rounds into the 2012 NYC premiership and the Knights are sitting atop the table with two wins, having scored 84 points and conceding just three tries.
“It’s only Round 2 so we’ve gotta maintain a bit of consistency now,” coach Mick Crawley told newcastleknights.com.au ahead of their Round 3 clash with the Brisbane Broncos on Friday night.
Crawley indicated at the season launch that the club was focused on defence heading into 2012, and says that the pointscoring breakout is not so much of a bonus but as a result of Newcastle’s ability to apply defensive pressure.
“It comes on the back of being pretty good in defence and controlling the footy. Our completion rates have been good and on the back of that we’ve been able to score some points.”
A classic example of this was the performance of five-eighth Will Smith, who scored three tries and set up three more in the 40-0 win over the Sharks in Round 2.
“You can see with Will that he’s benefited from a pre-season with the NRL side, he’s an experienced guy, he’s working really hard on his footy and it’s showing on game day,” explained Crawley.
“He scored two tries from charge downs and they are both defensive efforts, in fact they were our first two tries and they came from them trying to kick it and Will charging them down.
“That’s just effort in defence and that’s how we’re getting our points.”
Their opponents this week are the Brisbane Broncos, a team that Crawley says he’s studied on the video in the build-up.
“They beat the Cowboys last week, and the Cowboys made the grand final last year and they are tipped to be one of the big sides, so that was a really good win for the Broncos.
“They play a bit of footy, they throw the ball around quite a bit and I think it will be a really good test for us.”
Crawley confirmed that Kurt Mann and Kailem Perkins are the new faces in the lineup against Brisbane.
The game has a late start of 6:15pm and Crawley hoped there would be a repeat of the big crowd that was at Hunter Stadium for the NYC clash in Round 1.
With a number of local boys in the lineup, make sure you get down to Hunter Stadium and watch the future of the Hunter Ports Newcastle Knights run around.

Is it just me or is the NYC exposure down on previous years? I know the info appears to be harder to find on NRL.com for example.

Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft x 10000 million.

I'll get him in there soon, looking a bit dodgy with two of em not playing at the moment. Plus an Ash Graham hatrick ensuring his place in the team for another 120 years, le sigh.

The Bulldog U20's beat the Warrior U20's at Mt Smart by 28 - 16.

This was the Junior Warriors first loss at home since May 2010.

The Dogs played well and took advantage of a tired looking Warriors side who had a hard game Monday night.

This Dogs team will take a lot of beating this year while this is one to forget for the Warriors.

Dogs team looked great. I sat down with a mate and said "Dogs are probably going to get slaughtered here" but surprisingly we were great. The young forwards laid the platform and what about David Klemmer? He is honestly more impressive at that level then when I use to watch John Kite, Sam Kasiano and Martin Taupau run around.

He made over 300m, yes 300, in last weeks match and this week made 217m from 23 runs. He also made 7 offloads and they were smart. He's an amazing looking young player that the Bulldogs have tied up for while, thankfully.. What a star.

Wait til you meet the bloke. An absolute gentle giant and a really great bloke. So many of these kids, who you'd expect to be arrogant, are so level headed and well balanced. It's a credit to the clubs and the entire NYC system.

yeah he must work hard to get into that shape.

however when he played the nz residents 18s, he told the players that he was signed on a 100,000+ contract.

Is that true?? probably his going rate

i don't think so.

I think Souths offered him 80 k but he stayed at the Dogs for less than half that. That was straight out of the mouth of Peter Mulholland last year
