I do like Salmon at 14.
I'd prefer him at centre and Taka at Ringrose tbh.
But he's a huge step up from Will Smith
I would also be happy with Taka at 14 if it meant no Smith on the bench.
I like the look of that 1-17.
So mcilwrick is obviously a backup and not depth? Or depth and not a backup? He's definitely not an interchange
I like the look of that team that's made up of youth and experience without a merkin in sight.
Might depend on how Mahoney is going and where Salmon fits?
He's probably genuine depth, but with Mahoney going well right now we don't necessarily need a genuine hooker on the bench. But if Salmon was needed at 6 or in the centres, or if Mahoney starts to struggle under the weight of weeks of big game time, it might be that McIlwrick comes in.
Personally I think we'll see him in the 21 after a couple of weeks with Wenty.
Davey must have a liking for those chip rolls at Ringhole Pk.
Anyone think Kafusi or Peni might jump in before game day?
Am I old fashion in thinking I want 4 forwards on the bench?
Might be a good game to keep Evans on the bench. JWH might fire him up. Would be a shame of Gower is hooked.
Anything is possible but Salmons efforts last week should continue to be rewarded I reckon. I thought he was great and certainly better than what W Smith offered both last week and last year.
Brock Lamb and Asu Kepaoa come into the squad as reserves.

Cronk and Friend rushed back in out of panic to play the 2nd place Eels. Probably
You're either a massive star or a nuffy in that team. Except for Vradley, who I actually quite like.
But the death riders kept telling us that successful clubs like the Roosters have quality all through the squad!
Well, in fairness, there's only 3 nuffies
Just to prove another Cheifly Scoop wrong.
Lamb and Lam? I hope if they both got a game the commentators pronounce their names correctly.
Hard to f**k 'Brock' up... 'Lachlan' can be tricky, I'll grant you that
I was much older before I liked salmon
