Elliot's selections have always bamboozled me ](*,) It is more often a case of who he doesn't select rather than who he does select. No Chalk, no Carney. Carney should be in there as the starting 7 imo. I think Elliot must have his favourites - that is the only thing that I can think of to explain the constant selections of certain players.

Sorry for trolling but I have to ask, why are you laying into Elliot over dropping Carney? Zillman scored two tries on debut, Carney has done jack sh*t in first grade, plus Zillman (from what I've seen) would play an impact player role 10 times than Carney ever could.

Because Carney should be starting ahead of Withers. Elliott has completely screwed around his confidence by not starting him. He's not an impact type player, had he been starting in the halves with Smith it would improve his development greatly. The only reason people think Carney is "rubbish" is because he hasn't been given an extended go, instead of just 30 minutes here or there.

Withers became good not by being a halfback but by playing of the bench for the Dragons. He was crap at halfback for the Tigers. Now hes back being crap at halfback for the Raiders.

I don't care about the rest of the side but the decision to demote Thompson, reigning club champion and the most whole-hearted player we have, is the worst selection f**k UP I have seen at this club for 10 years.

The only reason I can think of is that he wants to have an awesome bench to try and counter the lack of fitness that we have shown the last couple of weeks. Thats the only reason I can think of. We will wait and see if it was the right move.

The hype may have something to do with it also. Anyone else cringing we have Withers on our books for $200k+ the next 3 seasons??? Really, he is not a 200k+ calibre player.

Heard today from my reliable source that williams has been to PL today, must b true cos went past raining tonight and saw williams training with PL, apparently elliott wants a second rower, jones, and which means thurlings diffinately on the bench. don't understand how we need another 2nd rower, we got 2 playing as props and then 2 props on the bench, where's the impact player, i thought thats what williams would of been. got to agree with everyone what the f**k is elliott doing with this team. he changes it every week, i understand injuries but its not really helping the boys confidence from being dropped all the time. needs to at least stick with 1 team and try and let them sort themselves out might come at a couple of loses but you can't keep dropping 1 week , then bringing them back next, eg hodgo, carney, raston and now williams. although we could of all gather it was gonna be williams to be dropped judging by elliotts comments in this mornings CT. Heard the boys are on the radio for tomorrow's breakfast show.
