Tigers have scored 8 Points more than Penrith so far this season
Penrith have conceeded 90 points to the Tigers 58.
Penrith's completion rate is at 63%, Tigers is at 81%

75% of Penrith's tries are from 0-20 metres out, and 64% of Tigers tries conceeded are from the same range.
18% of the Tigers tries are scored from outside 50 metres, and 30% of Penrith's tries conceeded are from the same range.

On average Tigers make 25 more hit ups than Penrith per game, 29 Less tackles, 167 more metres, 4 less handling errors, almost 2 off-loads and 1 line break more than Penrith.

Goalkicking for the Tigers at present sits at 78%
Penrith is at 91%

Last game at Campbelltown between these two was in 2003, Penrith won 26-4.

Last Week
Tigers Starting Forwards: 145 tackles, 16 missed tackles, 2 penalties conceeded, 56 Hit ups, 5 Dummy half runs, 520 metres, 5 handling errors, 5 off-loads, 6 kicks.

Penrith's Starting Forwards: 151 tackles, 18 missed tackles, 5 penalties conceeded, 57 hit ups, 8 Dummy half runs, 490 metres, 2 handling errors, 3 off-loads, 1 kick.

If the Tigers keep Civoniceva quiet, they'll dominate their forwards, which should lay the platform for the win. Civoniceva alone had 17 hit ups and 161 metres last week.

Tigers Starting Halves: 41 tackles, 9 missed tackles, 1 penalty conceeded, 18 hit ups, 3 dummy half runs, 128 metres, 1 handling error, 6 kicks.

Penrith Starting halves: 25 tackles, 8 missed tackles, 1 penalty conceeded, 10 hit ups, 2 dummy half runs, 85 metres, 2 off loads, 13 kicks.

Penrith aren't big on dummy half runs by their halves or hooker, and their halves are poor defenders. Run at them all night. It may affect their kicking game. Last week 13 of their 16 kicks were by their halves.

Tigers starting Backs: 48 tackles, 10 missed tackles, 2 penalties conceeded, 1 Line break, 71 hit ups, 24 dummy half runs, 579 metres, 2 handling errors, 4 off loads, 5 kicks.

Penrith Starting backs: 25 tackles, 10 missed tackles, 1 penalty conceeded, 2 line breaks, 42 hit ups, 13 dummy half runs, 332 metres, 5 handling errors, 2 kicks.

Their backs statistically are very ordinary, don't get too involved in defence or attack, leaving the workload to the forwards. We should go wide often in attack. Halatau could have another blinder.

Tigers bench: 47 tackles, 6 missed tackles, 2 penalties conceeded, 14 hit ups, 2 dummy half runs, 135 metres, 2 off loads.

Penrith bench: 80 tackles, 5 missed tackles, 1 penalty conceeded, 21 hit ups, 5 dummy half runs, 205 metres, 2 handling errors.

Panthers bench, whilst not been great, seem solid. They don't make mistakes and they get involved.
Same can't be said for the Tigers bench last week. This needs to change. The Panthers may be able to score points once our benchies are on the field.

I wasn't suggesting their kicking game was sh*t.

I was just saying that the Tigers players should run at the Panthers halves as much as possible, because they are poor defenders, and they provide practically all the kicks.

By tiring their halves, it will affect their kicking game and could give us some momentum, which we clearly need if we are to win games.

Without momentum for our forwards, we get smashed by the likes of Kane Cleal and Jarrad Hickey.

It is going to be interesting. Morris is going to need a lot of space and time to react. Don't know that WT forwards will be able to provide it. Round 1, the Dragons did not move up at all. Round 2, the Cowboys were somewhat less reactive, but still didn't close up together effectively. Combined with the 12-15m the ref kept all night, the overall performance by the WT forwards in the 2 wins is not easy to call dominant, in respect to providing for the halves. How was the Panthers defence over their 3 rounds?

Maurice Blair can make some brutal tackles. If you run at him all game, he will pull off a few big hits... even if he does miss a few tackles.

Both our halves have a surprisingly decent kicking game, so if you could cripple their kicking game.... you pretty much have the game won already.

mate your playing the tigers. Jordan Atkins could put massive hits on some of our forwards.

Morris in the halves again :-( I would rather this team against the panthers:

1 Brett Hodgson (c)
2 Taniela Tuiaki
3 Dene Halatau
4 Beau Ryan
5 Chris Lawrence
6 Tim Moltzen
7 Matthew Head
8 Todd Payten (vc)
9 Robbie Farah / Flannagan if Farah not fit to play
10 Keith Galloway
11 Ben Te’o
12 Chris Heighington
13 Liam Fulton

14 John Morris
15 Danny Galea
16 Corey Payne
17 Bronson Harrison
18 Peni Tagive

No one gives a sh*t about what team you would play after the team has been announced. Even moreso given that it's the same every week.

So does do a lot of things. But that doesn't change the fact that no one cares what anyone would play after a team is named let alone what alien would do...

How much of this was accurate? I didn't get to see the match unfortunately.
