I might lose my money, but I'd wager that Munster gets off. One of the chosen ones. He was interviewed last night and he explained the tackle and blamed the wet conditions and the strength of Liam Martin. Is it just me but I don't remember players giving explanations to possible chargeable tackles prior to the MRC actually charging that player. The media doing the equivalent of "it's not his go".
Except it’s totally his go. Munster has always been master of the dirty stuff. It’s how the purple cheats breed ‘em.

Anyone notice Jack Cole on the ground after Cleary got taken out and Harry Grant put a full shoulder into his back. This was after Cole was tackled. It was a dog act. He saw it was Cole and did it deliberately.

Also Storm with their rubbish tactic of lying in the way of the dummy half to get the ball. Geez they are a dirty grubby team. Meaney injured due to a head clash with his own player NAS.

In the end Panthers lost to goal kicking. 5 tries each. If it were not for To'o's last try Saints would end up ahead of Penrith after round 3. They would be on -10 and Saints -9.

Saints in for a tough night against the Grubbs. Illias will have a target on his back big time.

And listen to the commentators lose their loads when they talk about what a magnificent team they have and how their culture is the best in the NRL.......
That whole play was typical Melbourne. Munster dragging someone back after they were held, Cleary getting taken out, Cole copping the dog shot - that's the Melbourne "culture" on full display there. Utter scumbags. And on the Munster hip drop - I'm no JDB fan but if he had made that tackle he would have been sin binned and then charged. No doubt at all.

This is the club that brought wrestling and the chicken wing tackle into our game just to name a few.
They seem to be able to get away with so much on the field, and then off the field when the match review committee seemingly overlook many of their on field discretions.
Brought a warm glow to my heart when they were caught cheating the salary cap.
To lose premierships is the greatest penalty any team can be slapped with for cheating the cap.
Well done David Gallop and co.

Having watched a few games in Rd 3 I have to say our forward pack is soft…. Never been a fan of Luc and now with Lawrie back in, Sele who never plays a game and Klemmer… who is a plodder… we are definitely a bottom 4 team. Even West Tigers seem to have found their mojo but have a pretty good pack with May, Pole, Fainu, Hunt etc… they’ve got size and a bit of mongrel

I’m thinking the Tigers will have a way better season than us. They recruited elite players in their prime

Although I think Flanno has recruited pretty well.. the exception being the forwards we missed out on.. my only criticism is hes really thinking longterm in terms of value for money, but I think we needed to overspend on 1 or 2 real guns (atleast 1 being a prop) before we can think longterm.... to make sure we nailed those signatures.. because I think good players attract more good players.. and right now we are 2-3yrs behind the Tigers and Dogs rebuilds (I mentioned this several times last year, and was once again laughed at, i.e. that the tigers were ahead of us in their development, hashtag spooners etc).

Longer-term if Flanno can keep his job.. his strategy might well pay off and I (and many others) will look silly, particularly if some of our young forwards exceed expectations quickly... but he has to keep his job first... and its only going to get tougher with new NRL sides coming in... it would also be amazing if Atkinson exceeds expectations...
