His hands were fine last year. He just misjudged a couple of swirling bombs and that's all merkins could remember.

How many errors do you think he made per game at fullback? The stats are on the internet. We can look them up.

stats stats stats.....go back and watch the games he played at fb last year for us....he flat out EMBARASSED himself under the high ball, the most basic skill required to play FB in my eyes
We wanted to play him at FB last year and he made that untenable after the first 2-3 games last year.....teams were just bombing him all game and his confidence was shot to shit

we did the same to him this year but he funnily managed to catched everything

Had that first try been awarded Parra certainly would've gathered momentum,

Absolutely no doubt about that. But you are not allowed to take defenders out with decoy runners and then run into the hole thus created, which is exactly what happened.

bullcrap he dropped heaps. Why do you think BA dumped him from fullback? THere were many non-swirling bombs he dropped.

He didn't dump him from fullback, he moved him to centre after we lost Champion and Takairangi. If Hopoate was a shit fullback he wouldn't be playing there right now.

He hadn't played fullback since mid-2011. It was always going to take time to ease into the position. And then we lost our centres and he had to cover there.

This. Trying to present Hoppa's performance as fullback in 2015 as in any way acceptible (justified by his 2016 Bulldogs form?) is just revisionist history.

Hoppa was poor at the back and Arthur had to come up with a solution - instead of promoting another centre, he took the chance to remove Hoppa from fullback. Hoppa's origin form on the wing was also shit last season... good riddance imo.

What really got to me today - yes our d holds up but Penrith were running sideways all the time but we stood there and let them run

Meanwhile when we were going sidewys, we would get crunchef

Watched the highlights and read some reviews. Is Foran having a bit of a slow start to the season?

Totally agree and was what I was going to write. Taka and Semi has to reunite. Gutha offers nothing and for mine, slow. I still think Buretta is better.

We didn't play up the middle and we should've. We started to with Gower and Wicks poking thru but then we kept on going wide. THe we'll have a better attack mantra before the game, screwed the mentality of going up the middle.

Seriously, we will miss Junior next year.

As I said to a mate at the game today, we can't say we will miss him until we see who we replace him with. If we replace him with JWH or Tamou or Scott or Klemmer, I bet no one says we miss him.

He is which I expected given his hamstring issues.

The thing that disappointed me the most was his dumb decision to kick on the 4th late in the game, on top of that it was a shit kick as well. That's the sort of thing we brought him here for, to manage the tight games and play smart. Should have been taking the extra tackle and finding touch.

I agree but we haven't got that replacement yet. But we might end up with a player like that saints prop we signed up who was so crap that I can't remember is name. But then jnr might end up like him

However, it is fact that he is gone. I wouldn't pay him what Ricky will pay him though.

I think he had an Inglis moment

Is it me or is Gutherson a little timid and slow?

Yeah I'm in two minds about him long term. He seems to be OK at most things, but there is no compelling reason to pick him each week other than the lack of a decent reggie player below him.

I think Gutho is still finding his way on the wing.

I agree Foran should have kicked for the sideline towards the end of the game. Time taken to set for the scrum should have resulted in a win. I think he looked to run a lot more which is a good sign.

Tough to lose the game on the bell but we just didn't number up on that last play.

Semi's non contest of the kick was a massive mistake as well. We were outnumbered as it was so he should have made the catch a hard one.
