Round 6 v GC Titans

For the second time this year, I'm tipping the opposition. I've lost faith in Ilias - he's played over 50 first grade games and never done much. I've lost faith in Sloane - he's not a first grade winger, he's not a first grade fullback, he's not a first grade anything. I've lost faith in Cookie - he only ever went OK behind a monster pack of forwards which we don't have. I have no faith in Lawrie and Luc, their only value is the Titans may get tired by how far they have to run to get around them. We have 2 gun players but Val Holmes looks disinterested and Gutho can't keep carrying the side. Our stand-back-and-let-them-run-to-us defence worked spectacularly in the wet but it's useless in the dry. Titans have enough forward power and backline clout to run over us at the back end of the game. Good luck Dragons, prove me wrong.

Well done Dragons, you proved me well and truly wrong.

To be honest, I didn't think much of him last year; I thought the comparison to Liam Martin was ridiculous and totally misplaced, but I posted last week that I thought he was good in a beaten team, and tonight, Dylan Egan was terrific. I'm starting to think the more he plays top grade, the more confidence he gets, and the more he starts to believe that he belongs out there, he could really end up being a player who'll be the cornerstone of our pack for years to come. He's an absolute workhorse with a huge motor and can be extremely tough to handle. I'm now a real fan.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone. UP THE DRAGONS...

Good win, well played Dragons.

We could easily be 4-1 and top 4.

Think if we are honest we have a lot of room for improvement.
Don't see the coach doing too many changes but could we try something else in the halves?

Both Flanno and Ilias laid on a nice try assist. They were far from terrible but it's just not at NRL level if we want to compete. LKT or Glover worth a look soon.
