we are an average team at best.
we couldn't put a thorough sword through a depleted Titans team
we fumbled our way through the game
if the Titans had there full team at the end they would have made a decent comeback.
Dont get me wrong, I happy we won but at the same time our team has so much work to do to make the semis.
Im still filthy about our losses to the Rabits and Parra, we could have been on 10 points .
Onwards and forward to next week
Tough one at Manly

While securing a victory is always welcome, we must assess our success with a clear-eyed perspective. The Titans’ defense was alarmingly deficient, at times resembling a reserve-grade outfit with their glaring misreads. Our predictable, sweeping plays, typically limited in their sophistication, proved effective against such a porous defensive line, which speaks volumes about the opposition’s frailties.
Compounding this, our performance was marred by a subpar completion rate of 75%, the lower of the two sides, alongside a troubling 35 missed tackles. We also allowed several soft tries, most notably the one conceded directly from the kickoff, where Fifita carved through our defense with an ease that evoked images of an under-8s side shying away from contact.
Though we’ll gladly accept the two points, tonight’s display was far from inspiring. It offers little to bolster confidence in our prospects for the challenging matches that lie ahead this season.

Good win, well played Dragons.

We could easily be 4-1 and top 4.

Think if we are honest we have a lot of room for improvement.
Don't see the coach doing too many changes but could we try something else in the halves?

Both Flanno and Ilias laid on a nice try assist. They were far from terrible but it's just not at NRL level if we want to compete. LKT or Glover worth a look soon.
I thought Kyle played well.

Give him a better partner. I'm not suggesting Flanno would or should lose his spot.

Let's not pretend there are not options.

Ct if injured needs a rest and bring in Finau/Lawson

Let's keep improving the team.

Ilias is definitely playing for his career atm. I do not think he has many games left to improve before Flanno loses patience.

On a positive note - how was my favourite naughty boy CT with his money man back ha ha. He might be in trouble - pretty funny. I hope he is not badly injured.

Seriously this is some spin, there has to be some real credit for that first 40 minutes and the first part of the second 40 at the very least, they were pretty good. It was a nice response to the lows of last week, and above most peoples realistic expectations. They won’t be in the grand final but tonight they showed they can be a good team all over the park.

Better performance, particularly in attack. Bringing Gutho, Val and Cookie to the club is definitely a genius move from this perspective.

But even still, when some fatigue started to set in through the middle, we looked an absolute rabble again and the Titans at times looked like they might be able to put some points on from anywhere on the park. We need some quality middles and need them fast. I suppose some good news is Egan & Stewart continue to develop. Sooner rather than later LokoJnr & Finau Latu need to get a run (Lawrie is a waste of space and I'm not sure of the long term viability of Luc). As Dylan & Hamish are showing, this crop of juniors aren't going to let anyone down.

The wingers have also gotta start doing some more dirty work coming out of our red zone.

We will bank that win. Tough ones coming up against Manly at Brookvale and the Roosters on ANZAC Day where the form book goes out the window.
