its hard seeing Garrick and Saab develop into high quality backs for Manly (and probably NSW soon) that we had in our ranks but lost both to some really really poor judgement calls a little while back. how did we f**k that one up? Wishart could be added to this list, and AFB.
Saab is overrated he signed a 2 year extension with us then decided he wanted out, so we let the pea heart go no great loss IMO.

AFB was sacked for DV the club is in no win situation with that scenario we hang onto him and everyone says we have no morals we sacked him and another club was always going to pick him up he happens all the time Todd Carney, Russell Packer, James Roberts are all prime examples of this watch someone sign Taylan May by next year as well.

Agreed re Wishart & Garrick bad judgement calls by the club (they've made a serious of those over the years) I can only surmise Finau is gone which is why they aren't playing him, which is a shame because Feagai sucks couldn't see him cracking the wing spot for any other team.

I dont know what Finau has to do, surely there is more upside to his game. Anyway no predictions, just that we need a win to cement last week. We desperately need that consistency to come through, losing this and we will be back to square one, Manly would be chasing a win at home after last week, their first half was embarrassing. c'mon the Dragons lets get 2 in a row !!!

The jury is still out on how Saab will develop, he certainly has speed and size and athleticism, but losing a guy who had re-signed is a clear sign of an issue in my opinion, they lost him somehow.
The Dolphins winger Bostok, another junior, is doing pretty well too, I’d rate him above most of our wingers.

Fega i will be fine. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have picked Sione, bit it’s not like Fegai is a bad call. Quick question, could The call be related to which wing?

Is Corey Allen injured or ineligible to play? Because he deserves a shot ahead of Feagai. last time he played had an absolute shocker, if he has less than 6 handling errors and let's in less than 4 trys that'll be a good game for him.

I am sorry I don't see any reason for Feagai to gain selection above Finau (maybe there is one but I cannot fathom it). On one hand you have a junior who now has had a load of experience, who never reached the great heights we were hoping and lacks speed coming off a shocker in his last run. On the other you have a athletic youngster with speed who played brilliantly outside Holmes, scoring 4 tries in half an hour. Debuted in 2023 and, whilst he did pick up an injury, has not been sighted since in first grade.

If he leaves and ends up a Bostock, Garrick, Saab situation well you can't not blame the coach for his poor selection.

I'm guessing the decision is made on what the coach thinks is better defensively? Does Finau have trouble with defence? Not to my knowledge.

I realise wing is not the most vital position in a team but we need someone who can continue scoring at the rate CT has been.

Blood the youth.

No, I don't think so. That it's the left wing actually made me assume Finau was MORE likely to be picked - considering Feagai appeared to train all pre season on the right, and Finau played both trials on the left (and combined well with Val). It's a head scratcher

That said, Finau is in the extended squad so I still hold out some hope Flanno will make a switcheroo
