Round 7 vs Roosters

Our issue is that we do not have a top class playmaker. This is why our attack is so stale. Norman isn't up to it, Clune tries but I don't think he gets the support of Norman and McCulloch. We have to get serious about finding a long-term halves combination of we will be occupying somewhere between 12th and 16th on the ladder year in, year out.
Wishart and Sullivan look promising.but I'm afraid that we're going to go after another also-ran like Milford cos he has "experience". Sam Walker made us look like clots today - and he's in his third or fourth game.

Any team in the NRL with a little bit of ticker can string a few wins together and create a buzz. But what is a buzz compared an era like 2009-2011 where you are more than a chance every week?? You are more than a chance because you have nurtured some youth, held onto talent, made some great player acquisitions and, most importantly, have a brilliant coach who players want to play for, every game.

The coach gets a pass mark for exceeding expectations but he will fade of into obscurity and the adulation from fans will quickly evaporate if he can't play his part in some much needed recruitment.

Pick up the phone and get in the ear of some of the brilliant players that going around in this comp.

Sorry guys. Can't watch the game with 15 minutes to go. We are deadset hopeless. Bad decision by Hook to make the positional switches. Slowly dropping down the ladder and the way we are going now, we will find it hard to get back up.

You should have watched, it was our best portion of the game, we threw the game plan out the window and went wide - made line breaks, scored a try, forced a bunch of line drop outs - madness.

Extremely disappointing game. Wrong game plan, wrong time to make big changes and any time's the wrong time to make Norman play half back, he was totally lost, totally ineffective. NFI.
We didn't play any footy until the last 10 - 15 minutes, just one out runs by the forwards over over ad infinitum and the " belt them into submission " ploy was obviously not working almost from the start.
The only good thing was our new fella Billy Burns, he's about a foot taller and 10 kgs heavier than I thought, tackling machine. Didn't make many metres but will be better for the run.
I'll just put that game behind us and hope we resume normal programming next week, We lost an away game to a better side, bad luck, move on.

The new use of the bunker after tries are awarded is about the most f*cked up thing to happen to rugby league in a 100 years. Bird didn't knock on, no separation and the attacking team is supposed to get benefit of the doubt anyway. F*cked up, seriously.

The commentators Media Bukkake for Sam Walker was embarrassing, get that man a raincoat. OMG he's a magician, who knew you could throw long passes OMG like twice OMG, next Immortal !

A most disappointing effort all round , as already mentioned our attack has a long way to go to be anywhere near a true top-8 side .

Agree with the comments about the positional changes - they simply did not work , Clune should had been brought on much earlier , Norman’s organizing ability is on par with a blind man in a Hong Kong crockery shop .

A few , but only a few glimpses of some good work by the team , but it all came undone with basic handling errors - and will somebody buy Kerr some bluudy superglue for his next match , his handling let the side down .

Could go on but there’s no need , just disappointed for all Dragon supporters who expected a far better performance from their team in the Anzac Day match .

We look dangerous when the play heads to Birds side.

I’m amazed how so many keep saying ‘ give Lomax more ball’. He has no impact in attack. First roosters try was Josh Morris charging at poor Zac who could only grab a bit of jersey and hang on. Josh just passed it to his winger.

It seems many keep rubbishing Dufty and the underwhelming Zac gets a free pass. He is now missing goal shots, the thing he is usually good at. We need a strike centre not a highly paid unremarkable tall chap who occasionally makes a good jump catch.

I left after 20 minutes of the second half, very disappointing. I was sitting behind the goal line and have to say Dufty is so lazy in defence there is no urgency and he doesn’t put his body on the line. The positional changes were a disaster IMO and once again Norman did nothing.

Today’s effort was very poor, however I cannot crucify the coach on today’s result. After the failure of last week, he felt that changes were necessary, and after twenty minutes, it appeared that the changes were working out. Unfortunately, the Roosters adjusted their game and the rest is history. I will be looking to the team to start building again from next week.

I meant generally, not for next weeks game.
I think the whole team played poorly it is hard to single out anyone really other than maybe JP. We were very compressed in defence and couldn't adjust when they spread it. It all started with getting beaten in the forwards. When we had precious ball we didn't put them under enough pressure. We look exhausted, even more so and earlier than the Mary era. Lets hope this is just a speed bump.

This. We looked so dead after half time, after we had leaked two tries down a man we offered nothing and didn't even look like conjuring anything with the one man advantage.

Someone has to explain the lethargy. Mary would use the 4-3 win record as a reason of not making any changes but I would be resting players if they need a break. As opposed to hoping our stamina miraculously returns. Hard to pin point who exactly. As a team we looked busted in the second half. It's a real worry. I don't want to relive 2015.

Foward weren't getting over the advantage line ..... Plenty of passes but no one moving ..... Hard to know where they go from here ..... Maybe Hook needs to call another BBQ ....

Anyone who doesn't think the salary cap is a joke is kidding themselves.
They had a few missing through injury, hia and concussion today and still had more than enough squad depth to wipe the floor with us while we are missing Hunt and a few others but have nowhere near enough to cover it.
Our squad as a whole needs some serious work applied to it and a rebuild.

Wr only have plan a and that doesn't work we have 0.
Even under mary they said we can't keep playing the football we play.
It won't last.
Looks like it won't again.
JP
Has no speed only good finisher when he has an easy task
I bet he'll get 6 weeks but ravas tackle wasn't that bad, I bet he gets 2-3weeks.
