I don't know what Sele has done to lose favour, it must be more than missing an alarm, but I'll be surprised if there is any change to the 17. Egan would have to play the full 80 if Katoa's dropped.

There hasn't been a single game this season where we haven't copped some absolute howler decisions from the referees. No seriously, not even one.

The only positive is that this game will be in Wagga Wagga and not Canberra, but if Parramatta, Tigers and Souths can all come to our ground and get away with scoring after knocking on and have legal tries against them disallowed without it even going to the bunker, then it really means jack shit where the game is played.

Canberra to win because of a Wighton knock on being called a try and Rothfield to write an article with a photoshopped image that defends the decision with some more Penrith and Gus defamation thrown in.

Why Katoa on bench is beyond me why not another forward or even Luai . Katoa is dead wood. Robbie Farah twice his age is fitter

Katoa along with relieving Egan provides versatility - he can play hooker, lock, in the halves and potentially at second row - need some form of versatility. Luai does this too obviously but only covers backline and isn't a hooker.

Luai can't cover centre though. So until May is back Katoa is the best utility we have

Honestly I think we need to win our next 3 to be any chance at the 8. Our roster simply isnt good enough to charge home in the second half of the season like it did in 2017.

So many guys that the fans once loved (or still do) who simply aren't good enough.

Our next 4 are winable. Whether we are good enough to do it is the question

I have been saying all season we should be focussing our attack on playing up the middle with offloads and ball runners in support.

We don't have the fullback, halfback or hooker capable of executing any sort of set piece on a consistent basis.

Short passes between our forwards, forwards offloading with the likes of Aekins, Cleary and Maloney in support should be what try and do.

Instead we try and go around teams which does not work as our players in key positions aren't good enough.

We would be the team that scores the least amount of tries of a trained move that is finished off by a winger. Our leading try scorers after 7 rounds are on just 2 tries and they are Fish, Kikau and Maloney.

Variety is the spice of life in my book when it comes to attack. We can't keep hitting it up hoping to barge through.
I agree with you we need to mix things up to compensate for other areas we now lack in.

Could not agree any more. We have played our best footy the last few years when we have rolled teams up the middle and hurt them with offloads.

The same with the high kicks to the corners - put that one away for now. It hasn't worked. Short kicks along the ground with repeat sets.

We need to strip our game right back.

We are trying to be like other teams when we do not have the players capable of executing.

Maloney's try on the weekend should be our pet play.
