Round 8 vs Roosters

Flanagan's problem will be when he will continue to refuse to drop his son. I've always feared this will be his undoing but I think we are fast approaching the time when we need one or two changes to the halves. The tides will turn quickly if we continue to be embarrassed in big games.

Smith and Walker score 50 pints on their own in the last two corresponding games. Ours halves never really looked threatening and I know the old chestnut will come out about the forwards not laying the platform but the truth is:

These are the halves Shane has picked
These are the forwards Shane has picked.
Exactly why I'm putting this on him. I am one of his biggest supporters but now the coloured glasses are off and I'm seeing it for what it is. Young Flanno and Illias are reserve grade halves we all know that this loss to me personally it one of the worst and has pissed me off more then any other loss. Piss weak effort absolutely terrible

Maybe recruit DCE and put Atkinson at 6 for 2056.

For 2025, maybe we could try:

1. Ramsey
2. Sloan
3. Flannagan
4 Holmes
5. Lawson
6. Gutherson
7. Glover
8. Coachman
9. Liddle
10. Klemmer
11. Suli
12. Su'A
13. Debelin

14. Cook
15. Leilua
16. Stewart
17. Eagan

Our pack is still missing a couple of good props. If we can't sign any for this year, put Leilua in the middle, Suili as edge forward and Ramsey wither at fullback or left center.

We have to make changes because what we are doing isn't working.
Your team is pretty much what I would go with except Flanno is no centre. We have Allen in reserves that would be better suited to that position.

It's an old chestnut for a reason.

Sack no 7 illias has had 7 weeks no improvement he would have been gone after 2 games under Bennett and bellamy
All the pressure has been on Illias. Why the FK hasn't Kyle Flanno took some pressure off with the kicking game ? Why be a 6 if you don't compliment your half it's fked I would drop young flanno before Illias guaranteed but I'm not the coach and he isn't my son ...

We just aren't up for the big games every time it's a full house we lose. Watch us get touched up by the Tigpies next week.
They dish that up on our most scared day for the 2nd successive year
out enthused and outplayed
defence thru the middle ..paper thin
sorry ..cook n liddle on at the same time doesnt work ..both are hookers not back rowers or centres
our halves are ranked 17th int the NRL {last} and fully deserve the wrap
both have to go..offering nothing and dont dominate or control
the young winger was like a deer in the head lights ..Making CT look like a super star
not sure of the eligibility rules but time to give a few more of our young back rowers an opportunity
i didnt think our performance against Manly was that convincing , more so , they were dreadful for 60 mins
Today we were flogged by the last placed side ffs
Is DCE still available for next season ?
Perhaps an ideal choice for a combo with Atkinson for next year
After all our current halves are taking us no where

Wont DCE be a bit old in 2056. On the plus side his asking price will be a lot less

Needs to bulk up and improve his defense first. Agree about Suli on the edge, Luch in the middle to use his size. As good as Toby has been as a bookend reckon he'd make a good edgie too.
Suli and Leilua's performance is usually linked to how good the team is going. They aren't game changing players but they should be with their power. That's my main knock on them
