#Round 8 Vs. Tigers

They showed in the final 15 minutes what they can do when the shackles of Kearney's game plan are thrown out the window.

They revealed the talent is there, they just need a coach who can best utilise those talents, or they need Kearney to understand his current game plan for this team is utter crap.

Amazed as anyone else that we got so close in the end - for me it just emphasised what a pair of soft whingeing w*nkers Farah and Marshall are for milking hits that weren't even penalties. Would give Farah the benefit of the doubt as being genuniely hurt (still no high shot though), but Marshall? Give me a break - spineless referees being sucked in by the games two biggest prima donnas, and a resulting +2 conversion ends up the difference

hit the ball up 5 times then kick, repeat....oh don't make any errors. Keep doing that and just hope the opposition makes some- that from just watching Parra is what the objective is, not rocket science to figur eit out

So you actually know this for a fact or just guessing and talking out of your ass?

I wonder how long until Hayne decides enough is enough and he leaves the Eels. Why would one of the best players in the world waste his time with this mess of a club.

My thoughts exactly. And when people ask what benefit would there be in sacking Kearney right now, I reckon that if we did we`d have a better chance of retaining Hayne. I feel sorry for Jarryd Hayne. Can you even imagine how incredible this guy would be if he played under Bellamy or Hasler?

Hi stephen:nwave:

fact. You can pretty much watch any game of league and figure what the game plan is, be it targeting someone, going wide etc, its not rocket science, hence why we have won one game.

Really? You can't figure out Kearney's game plan by watching them week after week failing at doing the same thing over and over.

Im making a bold prediction, Kearney will do the same thing next week, but instead of kicking it on tackle 5, wait for it, he will kick on tackle 4, brillant!

Totally agree - surely the frustration is going to boil over sometime and if it coincides with contract negotiations...we're in strife, and I wouldn't blame him at all.

at the end of the day sure he wants to be paid $$$ but he also wants the chance to play for nsw and australia and if playing for the eels is standing in the way of that then the $$$ doesnt matter so much

Yeah i'm Kearney one of your worst

Since you didn't answer my question that you know this for a fact and came to this assumption after watching the games i'll go with the talking out of your ass part. None of us on here know what the actual game plan or structure is, but if your theory to turning the club around is to sack the coach, offload and pass the ball around more is the answer god help us. I mean even at the moment with the supposed game plan you think is being employed the team can't even hold the pill at the moment.

I've been accused a few times of being a Kearney lover when in fact i'm on the fence because i don't have my head stuck up my ass and realise sacking another head coach won't change the shit house recruitment and retention decisions made in the past.

It's been said plenty times before - the coach doesn't drop the ball or miss tackles on the field.

Look Roberts had an absolute shocker today, and his mistakes alone cost the Eels the match in the end.

no it won't and i agree with you about recruitment and retention but surely part of a first grade coach's job description is to improve the team's performance
i would argue that even compared to last years effort we are going backwards so if we don't show some signs of improvement against the bulldogs cut our losses and sack him

Personally I agree with RJ, for the sheer fact we are by far the most predictable team in the comp, I cant see how u dont see that, just curious do you know when and where our next win is coming from, and with what style of play will we achieve the next win, because our methods thus far have been diabolical?

I answered it in an earlier post, as i said it was to limit our mistakes and maximise theres.

Whatever he is implementing isnt working, it is as black and white as that and obviously failing miserably, it is not a coincidence, its due to poor coaching, why doesn;t other coaches go through two years of epic fails? they dont, maybe 3-4 games then thats it and they figure out a new plan, Kearney doesnt realise this. The last 15 minutes showed we have players with talent, but his negative tactics are not embedded with our flamboyant players, it is so simple to see, he has now a 16 win rate, which is worse then Craig Colemaan, Paul Langmack - it is possibly the worse strike rate of wins as a coach per the amount of games he has coached ever in RL or close to it.

so we just wait and see right?

Changing coaches is teh answer, if you haven't seen enough in the lasst two years then im glad your not the CEO. In the NFL he wouldve been punted last year, resultss in professional sport are immediate, their is no such thing as rebuilding these days. In other codes all it takes is a new oach 1-2 new players and their baack to where they were, we went the other way, innovative innded.

Just on another note, you do realise coaches have input into recruitment dont you?

Our next win will be sometime in the next 5 years.
